BTW Daz, looks like I'm going to be in London from 9/17-10/20. Any tips? I know Cardiff isn't exactly close, but figured you've spent some time there regardless.

I lived about 30-40mins outside London for about 7 years. Surprisingly, didn't actually go into the city centre that often.
When you first get there, do what everyone else does and go tourist crazy..... Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, London Eye, Leicester Square, Picadilly Circus, Museums, Galleries, West End shows etc etc. In doing all that you should stumble across things that you'll wanna re-visit... be it restaurants or whatever.
Outside of that, the only advice I would give you is to not even think about getting in a car..... the Tube is the only way to go in London.
If you've got some time at the weekends, then hiring a car to drive out of London to visit some places might not be a bad idea.
Where in London are you staying?

I've been screaming fro Cord Phelps to go away since they called him up.
Good win.
See if they can get another tomorrow with even fewer healthy players and offensive threats.

I'll be in Grosvenor Square, right near the embassy. I was there for a week last summer, and all I had time to see was the Imperial War Museum, which was really cool.
Thanks for the tips...hope I get enough free time to see most of what I want. I'm a big history buff, so want to try and take the boat across the channel to Normandy to see the battlefields/cemetery's etc too.
