I don't know about you guys but I'm kinda hoping he gets his wife pregnant again once the season ends. As a woman I have to say there is no way in hell I would want another kid the following summer (even though I had twins) because two wee-uns are a handful no matter what age. BUT if it makes him play this well next year I think the Tribe definitely needs to re-sign him if his wife is "in the family way".

I gotta give this one up to Herrmann. 4 perfect inning of relief. He owns these 15 plus inning games! Whole bullpen, Durbin getting out of a mess, Smith too. I give Jimenez credit...this is more what his sub par games should look like!! He kept them in it after struggling mightily. Walking the 8 and 9 hitters with two outs is not good. But that's pretty much back to back solid starts overall which is what we need from him. Consecutive good outings and then some.

On August 31, 1993, the Tribe played a 22 inning game in Minnesota. Jose Mesa started that game. They lost 5-4 in 22, no runs scored after the 9th inning blown save by Jerry DiPoto until MIN won it. Sandy Alomar Jr., batting 9th, went 0-for-8. Jim Thome, pulled for defense, went 2-for-3 with a 2B, batting 7th.

Jason Grimsley took the loss. Game took 6 hrs 17 min.

Team continues to battle no matter the obstacles in front of them.

Really struck me last night when the guys were celebrating how many new faces and different guys partook in the celebration versus the ones in April and May. Just amazing.

To be honest, I can't believe we are still in this damn thing with the lineups we are throwing out night in and night out. I don't really have an illusions to really being in this but hell if we could just weather it a bit longer and we do play the Tigers and Sox 6 and 8 more times. Could at least make this worth sweating over for the Kitties. (doesn't help they won 2 games this week they had no business winning)

Still this year has been really enjoyable, no matter how crazy or annoyed I've been at times.

Weeeelllllllllll, as someone who has been married to the same guy for nearly 37 years (and not ONLY because he keeps muttering "it's cheaper to keep her")I'd first say "no". BUT as a long-time Tribe fan I say "whatever works"!
