Santana showing nice patience, walking in a run after 3 singles to tie the game at 1 in the 1st.

I don't mind Duncan going after the first pitch. It was a get-me-over whatever right down Broadway. He just happened to pop it up.

I'm going with Roger Clemens for the trivia answer

Can anyone explain to me why LaPorta was practically even with the bag with 2 outs and a left handed hitter at the plate?

Not to say he'd have gotten it if playing back, but he had zero chance.

The usual Masterson offense.

Incredible start by Masterson. To get through 6 only giving up 2 was something. He seems to work through everything somehow. And he can even pitch to Santana!

Eh, still waiting for Masterson to put his team in a position to win for once.

If you're the ace, time to start acting like it!

Ozzie Guillen's favorite pitcher doing it again! Hope they go to their bullpen soon.

Carrera has no baseball IQ and no fundamentals. It's horrible to watch him.

3 evenly played 1 run games. Fortunate to actually win two of them I guess. (the first inning was it I guess, could have been a monster inning, Chen was great after that.)

I was listening to the game on the way back home. I got quite the look from the guy in traffic next to me when I screamed "F U Zeke" at the top of my lungs.

Can we get Garko back in the OF?

Reading that made me laugh out loud. Wow! I would had laughed harder if this was a scene in a movie, say a remake of Major League, when a montage of die hard fans reacting to another Indian player botching another play, your's would be by far the best :thumb up:

Why put Garko in the OF? I'm sure Jim has a glove somewhere.. just gotta find it.

I've often wondered if permanent DH's Hafner and Thome actually still have their mitts as part of their gear. If the situation were dire enough, you'd think they'd be able to at least play the field in an emergency.

Also, as of yesterday, we are in 3rd place.

I'm sorry I wasn't around to start the game thread! We lost power on Sunday morning at 11:37AM (I have my Dad's old Floating Hands clock and it stopped at that time) and didn't regain it until around 4:40AM this morning. Never thought of using my Droid to at least post the subject and ask someone to add line-ups. A phone is to make phone calls, right? I didn't even think of using it for TCF or FB till nearly midnight (not a techie...). I'll take the loss. If it's any consolation I didn't even listen to the game....

Oakland is coming off two tough games in Beantown on Saturday. Hopefully they didn't use Sunday to rest too much but instead enjoyed our fair city in nice weather!

We have mixed results against McCarthy and he's having a decent season so I hope our starting pitching can get back on track after Ubaldo and Masterson threw a couple of gems.

You are much luckier than us in eastern NC. I lost mine Saturday AM and still have none. Estimates are for about a week.
