I thought he was out of his funk before this series. To be fair, this was not your typical save situation (coming in 1st and 3rd one out one run game is pretty rough!). I thought Manny should have played it like Carmona's start in Chicago...pull Masterson after the first runner gets on in the 9th after allowing the effort to complete the game.

Just watched the highlights..... it has to be said, Al Palowski is a terrible announcer when it comes to actually trying to add excitement to a call.

On the whole, he's not bad, but his voice is just dull.

Looks like Valbuena has been sent down to make room for Z-Mac to start the nightcap.

So, there's a good chance we might see Cord Phelps tomorrow when Z-Mac is sent back out - unless of course we burn our pen in the meantime and then we'll likely see a reliever.

Hmm...so, if I can add this up correctly, we are, at this moment carrying six starters (Ubaldo, Justin, Fausto, Tomlin, Huff, and McAllister), eight relievers (C. Perez, R. Perez, Sipp, Vinnie, Joe Smith, Judy, Herrmann, and Durbin). That leaves 11 position players. Those would be Santana, Marson, Laporta, Donald, A. Cab., Chisenhall, Hanahan, Brantley, Carrera, Choo, Fukudome. Since nine of the players have to be in the lineup, and Brantley (according to the PD) cannot play until Friday, at the earliest, our bench in tonite's game will consist of....one player.
