I think that alleged trade offer was a Dallas back door deal to Baltimore. I can understand the hesitation of trading DA after that season (even the way it ended) to Baltimore.

Are you talking about the entertainment value of your talent evaluation skills?

Ironic ain't it .

Leave it to SD to predictably post in a dead thread started by him, while simultaneously ignoring the fact that the reason the thread was bumped was because he was completely and utterly wrong.

SD:

I wasn't by myself , when Heckert picked Ward , I was loud and proud to ask what crack pipe he was smoking .

long time ago , I acknowledged that gaffe , so why ruin everybody's fun and sudden amnesia or go back thru the archives and bump any of those responses .

If your gonna talk the talk you got to walk the walk , and sometimes your gonna take a beaten ,.

But its a poor man can't take an asswhuppin some time .

In a galaxy far far away and in another time , I'd be looking at Mays in some sort of capacity at linebacker if not back at our safety scheme .

But nobody calling the shots on our defense is named mumbles , who can reclaim the leagues trash and serve up a seven course meal .

Nope, if we grabbed him off the heap ,unlike NE who would make him a star , we'd just have another version of Miss Courtney Brown just another pretty model who looked like Tarzan and plays like Jane.

Yup, that TJ Ward pick was awful.

Taylor Mays is a special athlete, but there are A LOT of great athletes who amount to NOTHING in the NFL..

Can we wait until he has "special" season before we announce that we whiffed?
Thus far, TJ Ward > Taylor Mays, based simply on the fact that he had a solid rookie year, and Mays barely sniffed the playing field.. The league is based on results, not potential.. drafts are based on a mix of the 2, but ultimately, every team, every player, every coach, every GM is graded on the results that play out on the field..

*edit*

Oh yea.. glad that football is back =)
