Year #4 of http://www.TheClevelandFan.com Golf Outing. Once again, by popular demand, we'll be back at beautiful Little Mountain Country Club in Concord, OH. Saturday, August 20th. Four person scramble, 1:30 PM shotgun start.

Some of the highlights ....
• Included are lunch before the round, kegs of beer on the patio all day, a steak dinner, and an open bar on the Little Mountain back patio after the event.

• 18 holes of golf on one of the elite courses in Ohio.

• $1,600 in cash prizes for the event winners, closest to the pins on the five LMCC par threes, long drive on #10, the putting contest before the event, and skins during the round.

• Over $5,000 in prizes to be raffled off after the event. Every golfer walks away with a prize.

• The "traveling trophy", personally engraved each year with the winners names, and currently in the possession of the Tweardy Brothers.

• Course at our disposal a couple hours before the event starts. Driving range will be loaded with balls and open. Putting contest on the practice green. Lunch and beer on the patio.

We had 94 players in 2008, 96 in 2009, and 100 last year in 2010. I am expecting the largest field ever here in 2011.

Reserve your foursome now by emailing me back, as we cap the field at 124 golfers. We have 80 golfers already confirmed. The cost remains the same as it has been since day one, $125 per golfer. Every penny collected goes back into the event.

Hockey tournament I canceled on the golf outing for got canceled on Thursday due to melting ice. Really disappointing knowing that I could be out with some of you guys. Hope you're all having a blast.

That's what they get for scheduling a hockey tournament in August. There usually isn't ice this time of year, even in Cleveland.

That's what they get for scheduling a hockey tournament in August. There usually isn't ice this time of year, even in Cleveland.

Tourney was in Boardman, at a two-rink complex that houses a USHL (US Junior A) team. You'd think that they'd be more efficient with ice maintenance.

There's ice at a handful of rinks around here. I don't really know what kind of condition most of them are in. The one I played on last week was a little soft, but not bad.
