I actually like seeing Hannahan in the lineup at this point. He plays better defense than Chiz, and he has better offensively lately too.

Hafner needs to start looking offspeed. The only fastballs he's getting are in off the plate and unhittable. Then he's flailing at changeups on the outer half. It's really painful to watch.

I think he was in the dugout on Wednesday but on Thursday or Friday he had to leave the team to go to a family emergency (3 days - 7 days). They called up Carrera.

The TV announcers were talking about that last night as well. They were comparing Hardy, Cabrera and Peralta for the gold glove. I almost shit my pants when they mentioned Peralta for a GG.

Hannahan is awesome.

I can't wait to see what Belcher can do working with Ubaldo for a whole offseason. There's a mechanical problem there preventing his fastball command. Leads to some long innings.

I remember several years ago Delmon Young, Sizemore, and Alexis Rios were the top three OF prospects in all of baseball, and all were considered can't miss, and Young was even compared to Albert Belle.

Granted there have been some injuries, but this offense has been pathetic the last 3 months. I think we all thought (and the experts too) that we would score runs, but our pitching would let us down. It just seems that offensively since Wedge, we have not been able to be consistent. The hitting coaches have changed, but maybe it is organizational philosophy?

As an aside, the kids yelling "SWING" need punched in the face.
