Making his fourth start against the White Sox this year will be Cleveland's Justin Masterson (9-7, 2.69 ERA). The right-hander is 1-2 against Chicago in 2011 despite a 1.23 ERA over 22 innings.

Humber is a righty. 0-4 with a 7.51 ERA in his last five starts.

The Sox are 27-34 at home.

I want Marson at C every day. The kid is just beautiful behind the plate. LaPorta is a fungus.

We should win this one easily with masty on the hill, no AJ and no Quentin and the fact that Humber has been atrocious in his last few starts. He has given up at least 4 runs in each of his past 5 starts with a 7.51ERA over that period.

On the flip side, none of our boys have faced him in the Majors so that may work for him (even if only the first couple of times through the order.)

Perfect opportunity to close to within 1.5 games of Detroit (Tigers don't play tonight.)

Got an OT question. In today's Tribe site news there was a blurb about Sipp getting tossed from the game on Tuesday. It happened after Bell apparently missed an out call at first. The article reads: Following the play, Acta headed to the mound and pulled Sipp from the game. As the lefty walked off the mound, he continued to bark at Bell, who started walking toward the pitcher. Before Sipp reached the dugout, Bell ejected him from the game. Sipp then threw his glove down in anger and continued to yell at Bell near first base before leaving the field.

WHY would the ump throw Sipp out while he is leaving the field because Manny is changing pitchers? The ONLY reason I can come up with is because the ump was throwing his weight around (and THAT is an awful lot of avoirdupois). But if there is a real baseball reason why would one of you guys enlighten me? Thanks!

Exercising authority so as not to set a precedent where pitchers can M.F. the ump all they want after getting taken out.

That ball was smoked.

Good to see Fukudome rip a 3-1 pitch somewhere. Not good to see it was off Humber's head.

They need a trap door that opens up and the pitcher can sink down to avoid these situations.

That's what they should so. Have it controlled by the catcher. Plus it gets rid of the biggest pussies in sports.

Because this team intends to compete for the next two seasons, there's no time to wait and see if LaPorta finds it. They have to cut the cord this offseason and find a right-handed guy to play at first. He doesn't have to be a stud, just a guy who can hit in the seven-spot in the line-up, play solid defense and not suck.

He doesn't even have to be a guy who plays every day, because you can stick Santana there three or four times a week. Just a solid hitter who fits.

LaPorta can't be a bench player and he hurts the team far too much to play every day.
