Apparantly Kipnis a "bit banged up" according to Acta.

Looks like Duncan has been optioned back to AAA to make room for Huff.

The roster move isn't official yet as I guess they're waiting to see if they're going to play this one..... forecast calls for 95% chance of thunder storms around game time.

Not to say that Huff is anywhere near the level of Cliff Lee, but there's something about him right now that conjures images of Lee.

Fastball 90-93 with some cut, working quickly, throwing strikes and flashing a good breaker.

Huff just looks like a different pitcher. If he finishes this game as strong as he's started I think he'll have earned a spot in the rotation regardless of when Carrasco comes back.

Huff looks like the pitcher we wanted in this rotation.

I was gonna say the same thing but moreso that he just looks like he's pitching like Cliff Lee as in a similar stance on the rubber and throwing motion. Just rocking and firing.

I was thinking the same thing and was about to post it but I foresaw other posters jumping on me for mentioning Huff and Lee in the same breath.

Such a shame for Huff. Looks like it will be a long delay so his day is over.

Fuck. I'll tell ya what, between injuries and weather related trauma (and the doubleheaders with Seattle coming up will exact a toll) this team has earned every effing thing they've gotten this season.

Now you're looking at another loooong day for the bully if this game does start back up. At least there's a day off tomorrow.

Why the hell did they start this game? It was pouring in Westlake at gametime, they had to know it was only a matter of time and they'd have to waste the starters.

My best guess is they figured once it started it would be an all day rain, and if by some miracle there was an hour delay before it started they could possibly get 5 in.

If you listen via MLB Gameday on-line switch over to the Twins feed. Hammy is in the booth talking with the announcer from the Twinkies and it's interesting stuff. WAY better than the re-re-re-rerun stuff WTAM is streaming via MLB.

This is brutal. Good chance at 9 games in 7 days in September if they don't get this in. But, they'll sit there until 10 pm if they have to.

Bright side: Orioles up 6-1. Downside: They're still the Orioles and I expect them to blow it.

Thank God it's going to be making up with the Twins and Eric Wedge and not Tampa or Texas.

Huff looked GREAT and has looked GREAT. If you ask me, send Carrasco down and develop his mental stuff. Carmona, Carrasco, and Huff are battling for two spots and right now I would say that Cookie is the odd man out just because we already have Carmona and Santana to fill this team up with mental weakness (although Carmona looks to be growing up again). Huff, damn it, is proving the shit out of himself. The dude wants to pitch. Carmona is a "get our money's worth" deal right now. Otherwise, he could very well be finding Huff a danger to him.

I know in May and June, we were all aboard the little CC train, but that now seems like ages ago. I still am having trouble liking him after that stunt he pulled in KC and I usually like all of my Indians minus the obvious ones who suck 24/7 like Kearns and LaPorta. He just might mentally not be ready.

They will not get this game in unless they want to wait about 3 more hours.

Neither team wants a doubleheader. The Indians really can't afford another one and the Twins are just playing out the string.

We're off tomorrow, MIN plays a night game in DET. They will be there a long time if need be.

Then, they're gonna wait a LOOOOOOOOONG time judging by the forecasts I have looked at. I'm not where most of you are...in Ohio. I just don't see any clearing until 8ish at best. Am I wrong?

It's a drizzle just 4 miles west of the Jake, 30 miles west about the same. They will probably start up again within the hour.

I-90 looks like a river right now. Just drove home from Lakewood going 35-40 the whole way, hazard lights on all around, standing water all over the place.

Nasty day.
