Yep, we want Matt LaPorta providing protection for Asdrubal and Hafner in the line-up. That'll work out REAL well.

Manny Acta's made his pick. The dude who's been raking lately and will be the heart of the franchise for the next five years.
And LaPorta is a grade A stiff at first, too.

He's only played here a few weeks, but he's been a huge difference maker. And I can't think of any prominent rookies in the American League this year, too. Are there any?

Oops. Yeah, he might have a decent shot at it, too.

There's also Trumbo that BP brought up.
Add to that Jeremy Hellickson who's having a really good year and also Eric Hosmer who's been up long enough that he has enough ABs to qualify in the batting title race (not that he'll win, but generally hitters have to have enough ABs to qualify to get consideration for the award).

I didn't like Santana's body language after that play, either. He's a bit cocky, that's for sure.

10 runs and 17 hits in 6 innings and you guys are bitching about body language?

yeah......after he tries to pull the ball like a 100 times and grounds in to 56,000 DP's. I hope he figures it out, but right now he is just as somebody else stated an arrogant, hard headed prick( or so he comes off as) He has all the talent but is Lazy and LaPorta kind of seems the opposite, tries, acts like he cares, but it seems the talent just isn't there....yet......hopefully........![]()
For the record I'm not really advocating LaPorta over Santanna. Its more of an advocation for Defense over Offense, which LaPorta has the edge on. Its just the difference between them defensively isnt that big so its really not that big a deal unless you are in the later stages of a close game you are winning.
