Boesch is decent, but he's the 2 hitter. Ordonez, with a sparkling .597 OPS, is their #3 hitter. And yesterday Andy Dirks hit 3rd. Meanwhile, Alex Avila with an .876 OPS is hitting 7th.

Leyland's lineups make no sense.

A win takes the pressure off and with Verlander tomorrow I think it is necessary in order to make a move on the top spot and get the Tigers feeling nervous.

After last night's *yawn* marathon delay and game I'm hoping Ubaldo can throw a 98-pitch, complete game shut-out. Not likely since he throws around 4 pitches per batter. But I'll take a win anyway we can get it.

A sexy first inning from Ubaldo. Velocity is still down though although he hit 95 a couple of times. better location than last week though.

Maybe he's the type of guy who builds velocity as the game wears on, like Verlander usually does.

Though I don't think Jimenez's velocity will be fully back until next year after he gets an offseason to rest.
