I'm calling in sick for work tomorrow (I have to start at 6am) so I can watch Ubaldo pitch tonight.

I so hope your boss doesn't lurk here!
I hope Ubaldo rewards your loyalty and tenacity with a win and if he knew he would thank you for your dedication to a game....that is
soooo not British!

Surely it's only hardcore if you actually
go to work?!
Otherwise it's basically just a change in your sleeping pattern

I normally would but I have been off work with a subluxed shoulder so I need a while before I can still watch West Coast games and go to work for 6am.

You really think the game would be on TV? We only have 1 channel that shows baseball and remember the BoSox-Yankees series was on. Needless to say they chose that.

You must have MLB.tv. then, right?
I think the premium upgrade, which is like $30 a month here in the states, has a DVR option for every game. Not sure what there is in the UK.

I don't have Premium but Daz probably does so he'd be able to tell me.

Yeah, premium function does have DVR and you can obviously watch the archived games pretty much as soon as the game's finished as well (i'm prety sure you get that with MLB.tv basic though, right?).
Still..... it's sport.... it has to be watched live - it's the rules!!

Exactly I can't watch the games on archive if I miss the live feed.
What if we get battered 12-0 and I watch for 3 hours, 12 hours after the game occurred. I would not be happy.

Lol, I'm the same way. If I do want to wait for the replay* on STO and I happen to see what the score was on the internet or a friend, it'll be ruined, and I won't watch.
I know one thing that'll solve everything. Move to the states
