Those knobgobblers were at the front and center of blatantly criminal ratings on garbage subprime securitizations, Yet here they are thinking they have the "duty" to accurately rate U.S. debt. We very well may actually be only an AA+ rating and while I disagree with that it is nice to see they now decide they need to be high and mighty with their ratings. BBB tranches of subprime garbage to AAA didn't seemed to be an issue to them a few short years ago.

I haven't fucked up. Our political environment, political figures and general population who votes for them has/is fucked up. The easy political solution is to cut taxes and spend more.


And I wouldnt do too much taunting. The UK's debt to gdp ratio is 75% and has a negative outlook placed on them.

They came out from the beginning saying they wanted to see a 10 year 4 trillion haircut. We got at best 2.5ish in cuts to a 10 trillion dollar deficit (over 10 years). Structurally noting has changed, and it is all Bush's fault*. These guys rate just about every municipality and publicly traded company. While that doesn't give them a pass on the housing thing, it doesn't discout this downgrade.
