Listening to WEEI today and they played a clip of Ortiz busting into Francona's pre-game presser before yesterday's game and Ortiz was pissed. Wasn't happy they charged Kearns with an error in the second inning resulting in a loss of RBI for Big Poopy. Found the clip on NESN's website. Just another of Red Sux/skankees mental entitlement to have absolutely everything go their way. So glad every once in a while the real world intrudes.

The article linked within the Deadspin post about this story said that the Indians PR Guy called the official scorer and asked him to look at the video of the BOS 3B coach stopping the runner prior to Kearns's bobble.

Official scorer agreed. Call was changed.

If it was a miscall by the official scorer I don't take issue with that. Kinda nice to know the Tribe guy went to bat...probably before Oritz went nuclear.

Good lord knows OUR players get screwed by a call - seems like once a game Hammy has a comment about a mis-score. Seems like more often than not he's right, too, and the play is changed. What drives me nuts is that these players can't be normal, decent human beings. Like the guys on WEEI were saying Ortiz should have gone to one of the coaches (they said the best bet would be to approach the hitting coach) and have him query about it. But no, Ortiz busts into a presser and goes all ballistic on Tito's Tiny Tush. Loved Francona's eyeroll at the end as if to say "boys will be boys...". He sure has had his hands full. But I suppose that's what you get paid the big bucks for.
