I swear to God, if Santana even thinks about batting left handed one more time this season, I will hunt him down and systematically smear my nuts across his face.

Santana really doesn't try to overswing from the right side. That's what we'd see from the left side if he'd just tone it down.

Nothing would please me more than for Masterson to not only actually get a win, but to do so in Boston in front of all those assholes, just so they can bitch and moan about the fact they traded him away and that the guy they held on to, their crown jewel Buckholz, is out for the season. Waa, waa.

That kind of thing might actually have motivated Kaz Tadano, but with the opposite intended effect. Not sure about Santana.

I've made it a habit/rule to automatically change the station when ESPN even says the words "red", "sox" or "Boston".

Red Sux ownership group consists of John Henry, Tom Werner and Larry Lucchino. And WHY do I waste brain cells on that??? :thud: But we see them on TV here quite a bit.

I know what I know from St. Mary in Mentor from the formative years:

that John Henry told his captain- that a man ain't nuthin but a man. And

John Henry drove his steel 15 feet

and the steam drill drove only nine;

and the steam drill dro-ove only nine.

Side note, what how are the Brits gearing up for the Rugby World Cup? I played four years in college and have been looking forward to this for a couple of years now. Unfortunately though, the games are only shown on Setanta and I don't get it. How does England's team look?

Nothing better than to see their sportscasters go nuts over things like this. Makes our time spent up here a bit easier to take.

Between Baastin, the Yankees and Tiger Woods, there's really no point in me even flipping on the station until November.

Wales always have been and always will be very talented, very expressive, wildly inconsistent and lacking a cutting edge.

New Zealand have to be the strong favorites. It pains me to say it but, the only team from the Northern Hemisphere that has any chance whatsoever is England. Ireland are talented enough but they always choke in big tournaments.

Joe West is the worst umpire ever. An attention whore always trying to make the game about him. Plus he writes really shitty music.

The Indians were very close to drafting Ellsbury at No. 14 overall in the 2005 draft but instead opted for Trevor Crowe, according to Gordon Edes of ESPNBoston.com (via Twitter). So close, in fact, that team officials asked Ellsbury, a Native American, his feelings about the team's logo, the so-called Chief Wahoo. ... Edes' sources didn't provide him with Ellsbury's response, though.

Thanks, I figured New Zealand would be the favorite. I wonder how the All Blacks will fill that hole at center now that Umaga is done.

The Indians were very close to drafting Ellsbury at No. 14 overall in the 2005 draft but instead opted for Trevor Crowe, according to Gordon Edes of ESPNBoston.com (via Twitter). So close, in fact, that team officials asked Ellsbury, a Native American, his feelings about the team's logo, the so-called Chief Wahoo. ... Edes' sources didn't provide him with Ellsbury's response, though.

just read this, it was interesting

Wow, just dreft the damn guy and sort it out later. Man.

At least they are drafting well now.

Waa, waa.

+1

Nothing better than to see their sportscasters go nuts over things like this. Makes our time spent up here a bit easier to take.

Even better! What are they saying?

You'll have to wait until after the game. Right now my ears belong to Hammy. I'll listen to the Red Sux post-game show (it will be fun if we win but....) and I'll watch the 11PM news for the sports reaction and report back here later tonight sir. :salute:
