It's a managing mistake that inning. Crawford has hit us well, but he's still a .240 hitter with a .280 OBP this year. Two outs two runners in scoring position you take your chance with Crawford rather than Ortiz. We walked Ortiz in the same situation in the 8th inning last night and it paid off with no runs scoring.

I love you guys and gals. I come here to the game thread to see what the vibe is before I check on the score. We care so much that being down 2-0 has us saying game/season over! Haaa I'm the same way- it just cracks me up.

My kids like Nascar, so I've sat and watched a few races. That is to me what baseball is to most normal people- something to follow, maybe while doing something else (like, I don't know... napping for instance).
It's relaxing. An actual pastime.

Indians baseball is so much more of an emotional investment.

Had to review what happened during the top of the fourth. Hafner was on 3rd with NO ONE out and NO ONE could bring him in???? Sheesh. If we lose because of that one run I'll blame Carlos/Fuko/Kearns. Kearns. Bleh! But with the way Carrasco's been pitching - and the way Wake is looking so not 45 - I was sure we were sunk from the get-go. They've been hard pressed to go more than two in a row since then. But come on, cut the kids some slack. We've got a ton of rookies playing ML ball, our vets have been hurt or sucky, I'm surprised we aren't in 4th place and fighting the Royals for the bottom spot with our run of luck. And just think how good they should be NEXT year!


HaHa! Salty strikes out 3 times. I know, our batter struck out four. But there are times I think they should just do better since they are right behind the strike zone for roughly half of the game! You THINK they would be spot-on with pitch location. (Yeah, you can tell I've played a lot of ball ...not.)
