nice job Dave!
K's the side with the bases juiced and none out and stil gives up a run.... painful.... tough to blame Carlos on the wild pitch though.
As a foot note, Varitek now 0-for-9 with 6Ks with the bags juiced this year.... toast!

When they send someone back tomorrow when they add Jiminez I hope the luggage tag reads "Carrasco". After THAT inning I want the pitcher-with-a-pair to stay.

It's very, very early in the Huff comeback tour, but it would be huge if he's got things figured out.

I'm pretty sure they have to activate Ubaldo BEFORE tomorrows game. So, with Carrasco starting tomorrow, it looks almost certain that Huff will be making way.
I could be wrong though.

Couldn't they go the old "delay the decision a few days by sending down a bench guy" route? Granted, I'm not sure who that would be, so I doubt it.

Don't think that one's got the distance, Youk.
I hate how the fans in Fenway automatically assume any ball hit in the air past the infield must be a home run.

That's true. Hell, they can name almost 80 percent of all Red Sox players since 2004.

Looks like this is what Antonetti was banking on when he didn't trade for any bats: production from the rookies. Nice shot Chiz. Also, this park sucks.

The rooks playing well and LaPorta and Santana starting to hit = keys to success the remainder of the road. I look at LaPorta lately and he is starting to just look different. can't explain.

Both Chiz and Kip go deep against Josh Freaking Beckett and Huff has 6 K's and zero earned runs in 4 innings at Fenway against the top scoring team in baseball.
I love what I'm seeing so far.
That screwed up double play by Kip was most likely a miscommunication that will get ironed out.
Santana really needs to learn to drop to his knees on pitches in the dirt with runners on base and block those balls with his chest protector.
Very high pitch count by Huff as he refuses to give in throw anything down the middle against this lineup. If he makes it through the 5th I'd pull him, although the thought of Chad Durbin or Frank Herrmann facing these guys makes me a little ill.
