I'm still confused as to why Fukudome doesn't hit second. They must really want to get Kipnis some fastballs early in his career by protecting him with Cabrera.

Going to the game tonight. Looks like a good lineup.

If only LaPorta could actually hit.

Amen brother, Amen. I am SO tired of their cocky attitudes around here. Hate to see anyone hurt anywhere, anytime but I can't say I'm not a wee bit happy to hear that Buchholz will probably miss the rest of the season. Schadenfreude! Bet their wishing they kept Masty instead...except they wouldn't have had the patience to wait out his development like we have. If he stays on track he should be one nasty pitcher next year. Image

Tomlin's been a good pitcher most of the time this year. Unfortunately for the Tribe Lackey hasn't been the big adventure in his last four starts as he was earlier in the season. He's not efficient and runs up his pitch count but we don't have any real advantage to getting into the Red Sux pen...they're neck-and-neck with ours stat-wise.

Looks like the Sux are pushing Lester back a day from Thursday so he can lead off the series against the skankees come Friday. Masty gets to pitch against Bedard on Thursday. Can I buy some runs for Justin? I really would like to see him win one for a change. Poor guy....

Pre All-Star: 6.84, post All-Star: 3.44. Guess which time we're facing him? *sigh*

Need to get inside his head. He can fluster easily. Hopefully Reddick's miscue messing with him just enough to get us some runs.

But props to Tomlin for making two heads up plays to keep us in this one.

Also, how about Santana with that tag, getting in Youlillis' way, one year after his injury. Impressed me.

EDIT: That'll teach me to be possitive. Two seconds later we're down two more runs1

Why does Brantley get shoved to LF when Carrera plays? Mike is a much better fielder.

I wonder the same thing. How many more times do we need to see Zeke misplay a ball or screw up a play in center before he gets moved?

Zeke is supposed to be the best defensive centerfielder in the system, but he hasn't looked like it so far. He definitely has problems with balls hit over his head. That's the second one I've seen where he totally lost track of where the ball was. I really am surprised at how well he's hit, though.

Tomlin is overmatched by this Red Sox lineup. They're so good it's scary. A real Murderer's Row. No wonder they lead the AL is almost every major offensive category, including scoring. If Tomlin's streak of 5+ innings is going to be stopped, it could very well be tonight.

We need Pronk to bust out of his slump on this road trip. He's 2 for his last 20. Tonight would be nice.
