I'm fine with throwing at Cabrera because stood and watched that grand slam. You don't throw at the next guy's head. Chickenshit move by Carrasco, who now has a 9 ERA in July.

It would be very funny if it was Fukey.

With a 7 zip lead, it's automatic that we're getting plunked. Who's up first? There's your winner.

Yeah, I thought they'd wait until Cabrera came back up to buzz them back after he watched the HR.... guess Carlos had just had enough.

Throw at a meaty part though..... not behind the guys ear!

Not going to hurt from Jeff Francis. It'll happen later in the series though.

Complete and utter bushleague. First lousy offense, next a-hole pitchers. It's like they are actively trying to give us a reason to hate this team.

Now it wears out the bullpen....time for Durbin to eat some innings but with his track record he may last an inning.

I'll place a bet that says it's tonight. You have to protect your players and send a message. What Carmona did was one thing. What Carlos did is another. That's just being an asshole. Carrasco then starts acting like he wants to fight Butler when he's by the dugout? What a puss. Butler would slam him into the dirt so fast, Jeanmar Gomez would be on a flight to Cleveland within 30 minutes.

I'd still hit Melky at some point in this series. Don't stand there and watch it. Put your head down and act like you've done it before.

LOL just saw the replay again and the Indians infield didn't even get out of their crouch as Butler was walking towards the mound. Only when Marson got involved did they move.

That must be one of those tough calls as a player do you really support the a-hole?

Let's remember what's important in all of that gutless slop with Carrasco: Melky is still owed a ball in the ribs. ;-) ;)

He's just not good enough or respected enough to hand out that shit and not wear one.

He WAS throwing behind the ear....it's just that his location was that bad tonight!

It's a sad night at the Wigwam when Durbin looks like a Cy Young candidate when he comes into a game to relieve the starter...

No reason to do it, but he was pissed at Cabrera for staring at his homer.

Plunk Cabrera next inning. Plunk him in his ass. NEVER the head. Jesus, I haven't seen an Indian act so stupidly since Joey Belle.

MLB starting pitchers are the biggest overpaid pussies in the history of sports. They work once every 5 fuckin days and get paid like they're out there grinding with the rest of the team. Then if someone dares to step on thier massive ego, they throw at them because of the moronic "unwritten rules of the game durrrrr!". Grow a pair of balls you shitty little divas, go punch the man with the bat in the face. Fight like a man, of just STFU and stand on your little hill with your little white ball... assholes.

Yeah, I mean I wanna stick up for my team, but that kind of shit just makes me not want Carrasco. And I hate feeling that way, but he pulled some seriously dumb shit last inning. I don't want that kind of player on my team. I know he'll mature and grow out of that and tonight will only help his mentality (you know Uncle O, A Cab, and Perez will talk to him) but that makes us look badly AGAINST THE ROYALS especially. Be a man. Not a punk. Damn it if we get players suspended for brawling at this time of the meat grinder of a schedule!

We just CAN'T score runs lately! With the way things are going one of the guys could hit a home run and it wouldn't count because of some technicality. :gah:

I'm being sarcastic. Of course it would count but then again with our luck lately......

Never mind...never a good joke when you have to explain it. :hide:

Manny used to stand and watch just about every bomb he hit in a Tribe uni. Only in baseball is it considered ok to use a ball as a weapon and throw at an opposing player because he admired his work. If a goalie and hockey winged a puck at some dude's face because he got beat, people would think that's stupid and petty. What if someone gets dunked on int NBA, can thry throw the ball at the dunker?

Yay! :woot: Durbin showed Milky who's boss. Purpose pitch to brush him back? Well maybe, but I'm thinking it's more like the one that got him out with the bags juiced. Now THAT was a "purpose pitch"!

Durbin went about it the right way. And you can still hit him when the bases are empty later in the game/series.

Why is owed being hit in the ribs? That doesn't seem somewhat archaic and juvenile to you? To hit a guy for watching a ball...

Nope. Yep. You just don't do that shit. You respect the game and you respect the other guys playing the game. It's not like you won the World Series with it. You hit it in the 4th inning of a July 29 game where you are 11 games behind first in the worst division in baseball.

That makes you a douche bag. A douche bag who deserves a 95 mph fastball in the ribcage.

I'd expect the same if any of our guys hit the grand slam.

Every time this guy (Moustakas) comes to bat I get a taste for baklava.

And yes, you hit a guy in his meaty part for being a schmuck in a previous AB. It's the old fashioned way of doing things in baseball and of all the games that are played THIS one holds true to its roots. Plunk him!

I just hope that this game doesn't make Antonetti and Shitpiro feel pressured to trade away the farm for a couple of rentals. Doing so would set this team back 5 more years. To me, this game shoes that a couple of players won do anything. We just aren't built to win yet. We need to save our prospects, not deal them for a couple of (former) all stars.

"Look at the bright side. At least our pitchers are trying to hit something."

But yeah, same point

That's how I meant it.

Nope.

I'd expect the same if any of our guys hit the grand slam.

lol.

Implying being a MLB pitcher alone should warrant respect just because they're a pitcher. If they're were men, and not sandy vaginas, they'd fight 'em, and not throw their little ball at them from 30 feet away like a pussy.

They just need to put 2 pair of boxing gloves in the on deck circle, so when one of these girly little pitchers feel their stupid ego has been tread on, they can fight it out, instead of being a bitch.

It's the way the game works.

You watch hockey. Guy hits the star player from behind and somebody goes after him. It's a matter of respect.

I don't care if you agree. It's the way the game is.

So by your logic, Hafner should be popped because he started celebrating his walk off GS while still in the box.

And you're right the game is how it is, but I think it's a fair point to make that pitchers are for the most part pussies, who throw at guys and hope their catcher restrains the guy before they get beat into the dirt. The AL is worse because Carlos will nver have to step into the box vs KC and get his.

Different situation. Hafner didn't show up the pitcher. He didn't stand there and watch it while posing.

Nothing he did was to show up the pitcher. Not comparable.

If it would have been anything close to showing up the pitcher, he would have gotten hit. The fact that he didn't should show you the difference.

Well said. I'd rather let the guys we have (and who are on the way) use this year as an experience builder. Let's see how far we get, but not at the cost of anybody who is/was a big part of the plan. Anything involving a post-season is a bonus, but we're not equipped to go far, anyway. (Obviously I hope we do, but let's face it, it's not realistic.) I'd rather they build from this and come out swinging next year. We can't afford to be stupid.

What's the difference between watching a ball fly away and flipping your bat and clapping your hands in celebration in the box?

Hafner didn't do anything wrong, neither did Melky.

Clearly, you're never going to get this. So I'm done with it.

This is MLB baseball, not like the fake shady NBA where you can't even stand up off the bench without being suspended when a fight occurs. Hockey has fighting, no? And those guys beat the shit outta each other and the crowd loves it.

Also, the batter has a helmet. Butler was fast enoug to get outta the way, too. This stuff is good for baseball. Only problem I have is CC going after the next guy with the next pitch. Thats being smart like Manny Ramirez is. Plunk the guy who hit the GS.
