I've got about 65 invites thus far and haven't bothered to log in yet.

1) anything in the Facebook realm makes me ill

2) last time Google had something this hyped (wave) it died in less than a month.

Yeah, Buzz and Wave have been disasters. This seems better and like it has some staying power w some tweaks.

Looks different in that it has more of a Twitter feel, and the whole basis behind it is the ability to create "circles". And that you can just share what you want with whatever circles you want. Be it pictures, tweets (their version), etc.

Also ... if you're on Google and see the little "+1" things next to links ... this is their other thing with +. You +1 things you see on the web and like, and it logs em on a separate +1 page ... assuming it will help build the look and feel of your Google + account and page as they develop an idea of the things you like.

Way too early to tell ... not a lot of people on it yet, haven't had a chance to mess with it at all really.

They're clearly going after the people that don't like what Facebook has become. And the people that can't get into tweeting ... as it is more of a promotional/informational platform, less social.

Kind of a FB/Twitter in between?

Google + is different b/c you get paid to pass along invites, you can makes thousands just by sending invites. I had it confirmed by a friend, he's a lawyer, it really works!

Here's an idea, if you're worried about someone seeing something you post on facebook, DON'T FUCKING POST IT ON FACEBOOK! That simple.

It's been slow to develop in the past couple weeks, I'll sure say that. Google seems to hit this bump with many of their social media type efforts like this and Buzz, etc.
