Golfing with the son

Looking to take my 8 year old golfing next week. Anyone know of any courses that have a "kids" course in the area.

Little Met is a 9-hole course that would probably fit the bill. Depends how well your 8yr old hits the ball really.

Mastick Woods is another one and that's in Fairview Park ( http://www.clemetparks.com/recreation/g ... _woods.asp )

An 18 hole course like Briardale in Euclid is great too because it's wide open and relatively flat.

Mid Pines in Solon used to be perfect for this, but then they bulldozed it and put in a country club. Kramer and his avatar must have been pissed.

How's Grantwood? I probably haven't played there since high school, but heard it is nicer now.

North Olmsted Golf Club. On Canterbury, off Butternut Ridge, in North Olmsted.

Only 30 par. Has a 95 yard hole that's exactly straight. Longest hole is a shade under 300 I believe. Runs right along some backyards. Very quiet, mostly old people, nobody to bitch about pace of play.

Not a bad little course. Saw a guy with one arm shoot better than me last time I was there.

We hit up the par three at Shawnee Hills. Kid did alright for his first time out, a 35 over. Consistantly hit 50 yard straight drives all day. Tried to get him to listen to me on some club selections (only has a set of like 5 clubs for now) but he didn't. After we finished he wanted to hit the range so we did.
