You know it is all about projection at this point and not resume. If they think Kanter can project they don't care if he played rugby with the faculty side on Meaning of Life. Will any of these top guys play against each other in any summer predraft shit.
All I care about is that even in a shitty draft year we got what may well be 2 solid building block pieces in a premier PG prospect and a big.
Rest of the pieces should be fillable by next year's lotto pick and a skilled GM who can do what they did in memphis

I'd say someone that can turn Mo Williams into Baron Davis and Kyrie Irving deserves a shot at the job.

That was immediately my first thought as well.

This is going to be the second best day of his life behind when he slipped Wendy Peffercorn tongue at the pool that summer. Great night for the Cavs though, hope it draws some interest coming into the season.

I think they had a deal in place for Rip Hamilton and a protected 2012 first rounder at the deadline that fell apart due to buyout issues (i.e. Rip being a bitch about it). Hopefully they can restart those talks before July 1. You'd think Detroit would jump at shedding that contract and Rip might warm up to a lump buyout with a lockout looming closer.

If we pick Irving at #1, it sounds like the #4 pick is more of a mystery as far as finding a "sure thing" NBA player. If that is the case, would you ledge if the Cavs picked Williams with the #1 and then picked Brandon Knight at 4? As a tandem, is that pair a more sure of a bet for the league than Irving and whomever you pair him with? Just thinking out loud. Not sure I could turn down Irving, though.

I tend to think the little guy will just out of spite.
