Okay, obviously Irving is 1, but I'm not really understanding why there's all the love for Kanter and hate for Valanciunas at 4. Kanter would be fine with me, but he's an 18 year-old who's already had issues with both knees and his back and hasn't played in two years. Valanciunas is reportedly taller, thinner, has a great work ethic, is the same age and has no health issues (although he does have contract issues). Why does everybody seem to love Kanter and hate Valanciunas?

Vala isn't athletic, isn't strong in the paint, isn't a great jump shooter, isn't really anything but tall.

He's useless.

Kanter has a refined post game, something vala will never have and his health problems have never been anything severe. Kanter also is far more physical in the paint than Vala, who is a fake ass pick and pop 7 footer.

And Bismack will kill them both in a knife fight, so he wins.

Kanter vs Biyombo is a classic system issue to me. And I'm not sold on BO being an interior player unless he grows ( a luxury not allowed Sullinger. ;-) ) He seems more like a smarter smaller young Reign Man to me more than a big. But we have Khan stashed away developing in Europe, so it's all good.

In fact, you get me Irving & Biyombo I might actuallly get halfway excited to see what Skeyenga can do with the 3 of those kids running the floor together balls out every posession.

If you want a half court game, you take Kanter and his nicely developed offensive skill set.

Okay, thanks, I guess we've read different stuff about him. What I've read says he's the first guy in the gym for practice and the last guy out, has had success raising his free throw shooting percentage close to 90% this season, plays in the paint and finishes at the rim on picks and rolls effectively. Most recent comparison I saw was Noah.

I've only seen a few videos of him actually playing, though, so I'll defer.
