I am sadly too old to identify with that article, since I was 19/20 in 1992 instead of 7, and I can't remember ever spending a Friday night in college in NYC watching TV.

Watching some stoned dude play a guitar while I down a 40 of malt liquor? Check. Lay on the floor of someone's apartment and stare at my hand as I move it around slowly in front of my face while some girl blathers on about how she remembers the womb? Check. Dump lighter fluid in a toilet and create a bonfire? Check. Watch Boy Meets World? Uncheck.

Roger that. Was early twenties in that era and was out up to no good...
But I do know there was some chick named Tapanga that was totally racked up.

Winnie Cooper was my Topanga and Kelly Kapowski rolled into one. Amazing that the Savage Bros. pulled the last two great teen rolls on TV.

The Wonder Years was the show for my childhood- I swear I was Kevin Arnold 25 years later.

OK, I had to Google Kelly Whosits and this Topanga person b/c I had no idea who the fuck they were. To review:

Winnie Cooper = attractive

Topanga Canyon = looks like Jersey Shore trailer trash, dime-a-dozen wears-too-much-makeup meh (my apologies to Herm who obviously happened onto her at just the right moment of his puberty, therefore lionizing her for all time)

Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

That's some nice sweater meat. I think it's quite base to compare Topanga to a troll. She may not be Kelly Kapowski (few are), but she ain't chooped liver either.

And the blonde (Melody?) from Hey Dude wasn't too hard on the eyes if my memory serves me correctly.

I loved it when Budnick and Donkey Lips set up the 5 boom boxes with the hair metal bands that all started with "White".

I didn't compare her to a troll. That was someone else's "baseness".

I think she's ah-ight. A 5 foot chick with a decent face and a nice rack. Certainly OK, but hardly the shiznit. And I look at her and think that the 30's won't be at all kind.

The girls that rocketed me through puberty? Phoebe Cates in Fast Times, Tawny Kitaen in that Whitesnake video and Bachelor Party, Elle McPherson in... everything.

IMHO, she's "chooped" liver compared to those. :cheers:
