Ya Ziner sometimes I happen to turn it while doing mundane tasks. Like putting the dishes away, making food, or doing other peoples taxes. Usually I realize my error about 10-15 minutes in, prepare to change the channel, then realize that Glenn Beck is on the major talk station. I then turn off the radio and find my laptop, and listen to horrible 80's music.

Yup. I just wish I got it up here in the 'Ville. I do get the BW station, though, which is very similar.

I'll click it on for 2 seconds and then click off within hearing what "Sports" take they have or if they're talking about some bullshit movie.

Fedor has a pretty damn moronic take that Nicholson's son apparently didn't attend Ohio State because Terrelle Pryor was an inaccurate QB. Within 3 seconds of hearing that, I clicked it off.

Cue an ears bleeding pic.

funny how you mention that herm, as I believe they're doing a show at a strip bar right now. I guess Hammer isn't really voicing any objections over the matter either

They're not a sports talk show, hell no, it's sounding like the lame shit that airs in the mornings on WMMS and WNCX. I Could even throw the argument out there that the Alan Cox is more of a "sports" talk show at this moment.

For guys that hate it and can't stand the sound of their voices or their lame understanding of the sports you follow you sure do talk about them a lot.

And you sure seem to know what lame things they said on a daily basis. You want to be entertained and informed listen to anything else.

Not sure why that's so diffcult to understand. You'd be better off if you turned off the radio and whistled a tune to yourself.

I love the thread for ^^ and ^ posts.

^^Not very interested in national hosts/show/perspective. Wants to hear the local spin. About 2% of the time tRBS is listnable, thus fulfilling my need for local sports coverage. The other 98% of the time I am not listening, or just shut it off. Of those times I have shut it off in disgust maybe 1 of 5 get posted here... Not seeing the same time investment...

Otherwise a tl;dr post to a post complaining about our amount of complaining. IMO the complaining has become the best part of the show, and that is what probably has me coming back for more...

As for ^. :nanner: :dingle:

Holy shit!!!!!

Now what the fuck am I gonna listen to in the afternoon? We finally get a local you can listen to, can actually call in to, who told it like it is, and they axe him. Must not have been Rome enough for Clearchannel. Or swallow enough Zips/Aeros boner for the suits. Maybe because he couldn't get along with Fish head and booted him?

I wonder if they're going to try another local? Or just feed us whatever hack is on Fox in that timeslot.

Gawd I wish I could pull in 990 out of Massillon while on campus.

And here I just bragged about Ken on the WKNR listener survey I sent in a couple weeks ago.

Answer: Fox network wack jobs who like to sit around talking about shit, and now and then sports. :lame:

I can get that much sports if I could stomach one of the WMMS talk jocks.

Fuck.

Just wanted to add, I had become an avid listener of Ken on 1350. I have given up and listen to my mp3 player. It is a pain in the ass finding an airwave to broadcast my player through though.

So who can you actually call in to now? The network hacks don't take calls, when they do there's hundreds trying to get in.

Call RBS and Hammer will either not let you on, or hang up on you like he was the host or something. There's no sense talking to Reghi, might as well talk to the wall. That pretty much leaves Brinda during extra innings.

STC has a smart phone app, but who wants to (or can) tie up their phone, and eat up their minutes?

This is the longest, "I hate them/I'm never listening to these assholes again" goodbye to Cleveland radio I've ever witnessed.

It's funnier than hell.

8 pages plus of I ain't listening no more. I don't think you guys are using that phrase right.

That's funny regardless of who's saying it's funny ya tool.

Can't be more than 5 or 6 posts of me saying how funny it is. Followed by someone bitching about me making fun of the thread. Not to mention I have to look at each thread.... but any way....

something about trying to create some online reich..

I think the people who said they were going to quit listening quit listening about 5 pages ago. Now it's just a bitch session about sports radio in NE Ohio.

And ease up on soccer. If it wasn't for soccer I wouldn't know how to spell "CHAMPION" and I'm 45 years old.

Quit listening was the first step.

Now we're just pissed there's no real local alternative to what's on the radio. I for one, would love to hear the guy that peeks has mentioned, but the range for him seems severely limited.

Good point. I can't even argue it.

Plus I've become a soccer honk myself. But only UEFA Champions League-caliber or 10-yr old Girls Premier Soccer (spare me the overcoat and candy jokes).

Actually I'll be there Friday night and Saturday for a 13yr old girls volleyball tournament.

To be precise, I'll be there Friday night and then Lisa will watch volleyball Saturday while I go up to Lodi to watch the youngest in her 10 yr old State Cup soccer tourney.

Ill bring 10 yr old back to Columbus after her 2nd game and then we all travel from Columbus to Lodi for her 315pm game Sunday.

So, after that discourse, anyone interested in putting a bullet in my head knows my travel plans and likely routes all next weekend.

I might be able to sneak away Friday or Saturday night though. We're at the Holiday Inn Express OSU (on Olentangy- so now you can kill me in my sleep too).

Negative.

Jeep or Silverado. No winners there as to MPG.

forget the bullet, just go eat at the "food court" at Lodi Outlets. A #5 from Wok and Roll should be enough to double you over in pain and have you pulling off the side of the highway back to Columbus.

Caught some RBS the other day, and the characters on the show have really toned it down. Actually having rational conversations, not scripted "far left-far right" arguments.

Maybe Karmisan really does read those listener surveys afterall...

I don't know though, still no more hours for X's and O's, and Reghi must have a LOT of fans somewhere. Hudson maybe?

a lot of people can't stand lecharles on twitter for some reason. I think it's because of his slight against the Browns, which, who could blame him? The organization is a joke.

Good point. I can't even argue it.

Plus I've become a soccer honk myself. But only UEFA Champions League-caliber or 10-yr old Girls Premier Soccer (spare me the overcoat and candy jokes).

You coming back down here for another tourney?

Lots of time for listening to some really good sports radio. Maybe podcast this weeks RBS and R&R to make it a truly fantastic weekend!

oh..no..Sabrina is gone.

What will the world of Cleveland Sports do without her significant contributions to the media.

I for one, am disappointed that we won't be hearing about her exploits with Brandon McDonald, and her scarfing down food live on the air.

It's a dark day, a dark day indeed.

It's sad how little credibility Rizzo has, to the point it is embarrassing. Just happened to hear his show in the background this morning and they are rehashing this post season and last, again. He actually claims that LeBron never closed out games or hit any meaningful shots while being a Cavalier, even claims LeBron never hit the broad side of a barn from outside.

::doh::

He's just an emotionally buzzed fan with a microphone, such a hack.
