Beautiful finish for Animal Kingdom - Bruce Zoldan, part owner of Animal Kingdom is from Youngstown, Ohio. Great local story for Y-town and even better for my pockets at 20-1. The party has just begun!

I didn't think Animal Kingdom had the finishing kick that he showed. I was surprised to say the least, just as the majority owner was in his interview. My wager was more or less due to the local ties to the horse, but I will gladly take the cash as an added bonus.

I'm fulfilling a lifelong dream and going to all three Triple Crown races this year.

Just got back from Louisville last night, came out ahead at the Derby only because I hit the Trifecta and the Win in the 9th race (Thank you Aikenite, that Colt has made me a kings ransom over the past two years). Rest of the days card I got beat up , especially in the Derby which in retrospect was a real crap shoot of a race.

Was pretty disappointed Uncle Mo was cut, I been following him since the beginnings of his 2 yr old campaign and really believed he had the makings of Triple Crown Threat. If it wasn’t for the bad post draw, I am positive he would have raced.

Regardless of my pocket book it’s never a bad day on the first Saturday in May at Churchill downs, the Mint Juleps where flowing and the Woman looked unbelievable in their Sundresses and fancy hats.

In two weeks I head for Baltimore for the Preakness, which is second only to the Derby in fun (I hope I am wrong , but I wouldn’t bet the farm on Animal Kingdom having a repeat performance) , and then in 5 weeks I’ll be in NYNY to catch the Tribe in the Bronx, and The Belmont in Queens all in the same weekend (Thank you MLB schedule makers). Hit me up if your around and would like some bad handycapping advice.
