Yeah, I tend to lag a bit behind now because I won't even listen to it at work anymore. I tend to tone out every second and third word of whatever noise I have playing at work (if not every word) and WTF deserves my full attention. I was listening to the Todd Hansen piece when walking home last week and I actually had to just sit in the Common and wait for it to finish because I didn't want to get home and lose my cell signal (I use the droid app) in my apt and there was no way I was interupting that story.

I concur on CDT's point about his standup, which made me a cynic when e0 told me about this earlier. However after a look at his guest list, many who I like, I gave it a shot. So glad I gave it a chance, and sidestepped my normal blind hate.

Yeah, never paid him much attention for his stand-up act, but his interviews strike a chord. After a month or two of listening to him do the interviews, I am more way open to his comedy.

The Andrew Dice Clay interview (this week) is very informative and laugh out loud funny- and that has become the WTF standard.

Haven't listened to a BS report since I don't when. Carolla is on a guest-by-guest basis. There's an example of too much material to keep up with.

Todd Hanson was unreal. It made me want to find that guy and just give him a hug or something. Tough to take in parts. I just kept thinking that I'm so lucky not to have to deal with that shit.

CDT -WTF is great. Find a few with some guests you recognize and like. Try a few with people you don't know, like the one with, like Carl LaBove, kinison's buddy. THEN listen to the Todd Hanson pod. just my opinion, but I think someone would appreciate it more if they already have a feel for what Maron does.

Even though mother sucks, he is probably right. I dove right into the deep end w/ Louis CK's insane awkward/crying/angry/etc interview in summer of '10 but I'm a whack job. Most are probably better suited getting to know Maron then diving in. The Hanson interview is now up there w/ the Destefano interview as the craziest shit I've ever heard on a podcast as well as the most moving. Still fucks me up to think how Destefano lived the life he did, was finally getting to a good place during the interview then died like a month later.
