This is the worst case scenario for me; the 3 guys I'd love for the Browns to have all going in the 3 picks right before them. But it seems more and more likely that Dareus, Peterson, and Green will all be gone before pick 6. I'd love one of them though I wouldn't be ledging or melting for Julio Jones.

A trading partner exploits and the Bengals panic at the labor situation and Palmer is dealt. Minny, SF and Zona all could be prime targets, and all are in interesting slot positions.

Mayock has us taking Julio Jones as well. Gosselin's about the only one that has been more historically accurate than Mayock IIRC.

Saw a Boston Globe source this morning saying the Patriots have contacted the Browns about #6, presumably because they want Quinn.

What would you want from them for that pick? They own #17, #28, and #33.

Maybe more likely is a trade down to #8 Tennessee or #11 Houston to pick up more picks?

Heckert has defended Fairley the last two times he's met with the press.

I really think they like him.

Which scares me. I seriously want the best guy on the board which also takes 'safety' into account.

Guys with 'motor' or injury issues just aren't what a team that needs 3 rounds worth of starters should be grabbing at.

There's just no way Peterson ain't a 10 year starter and 8 time Pro Bowler at probably two positions.

But as I started with, I think Heckert LOVES Fairley.

Jones makes sense for us, but with Gabbert on the board and SF on deck, you dont think Tenn, Wash, Minny would call to inquire what we are asking for #6 to get their QB. No one knows if SF is ready to snatch up the QB of their liking.

Our pick could be had at a bargain price if we feel Jones, Prince, Fairly or Quinn will be available just a few picks lower.

And if we pick Jones but not at 6, I think Gosselin will get full credit and help his rankings.

Would love to take Watt but he seems to be the guy this year that just keeps climbing. Some mocks have/had him going top 10 but it seems more likely he'll go in the 12-15 range.

No way Amukamara falls so far and Jimmy Smith goes first. Also, I don't think there is any way that many QBs go so early. Gosselin must watch too much ESPN and bought into the hype of the "year of the qb" garbage.

It was the scouts and "experts" that had him rated that high, and many of them prior to the bowl game. He's dangerous, for sure, he could be a bust. But he's got a helluva high ceiling too.

I won't crucify him because I'm with ya on them being experts on the subject. I'm saying Fairley scares me.

There's a difference.

Dareus doesn't scare me, Peterson doesn't scare me. I see less 'bust out' signals where work ethic and motor are mentioned.

Fairley scares me. But yeah, he probably does have the highest ceiling.

He also had Kerrigan going #16, which was correct, but to the wrong team due to a trade. And he had Locker going #8 which was dead on and Ponder going 10th (he actually went 12th). Gosselin is the man. The only one he really missed badly on was Dalton to the Vikings at #12.

Kiper and McShay finished tied for 26th with several people, including a guy named Keet Bailey of "NFL Soup". I have no idea who Keet Bailey is but I love that neither Kiper or McShay could beat him with all their contacts and ESPN resources.

You have to give Kipes a little credit, though, he's ranked 3rd over the last five years which surprised me. This year is going to drag down his average next year, however.
