But it seems more and more likely that Dareus, Peterson, and Green will all be gone before pick 6. I'd love one of them though I wouldn't be ledging or melting for Julio Jones.

Also, Cam Heyward to Pittsburgh, yuck.

Two things control out fate tonight.
1) Blaine Gabbert to Cincy or Zona... or not
2) A team wanting to trade up for PP

Take Watt & Austin. That would be some kind of sweet.

Heckert has defended Fairley the last two times he's met with the press.
I really think they like him.
Which scares me. I seriously want the best guy on the board which also takes 'safety' into account.
Guys with 'motor' or injury issues just aren't what a team that needs 3 rounds worth of starters should be grabbing at.
There's just no way Peterson ain't a 10 year starter and 8 time Pro Bowler at probably two positions.
I take that guy.
But as I started with, I think Heckert LOVES Fairley.

I don't think the GM's are as fickle as we fans.

Come on. Because people get emotional and excited after seeing him play a big game they can't actually look longer and determine that was the exception and not the rule?
Not saying the scouts or GMs are right or wrong. But I will advise there were scouts and GMs who endorsed and made every busted pick from Mamula to Russell with Mandarich and Gholston in between.
A lot of people liked and endorsed the Chevy SSR too![]()

It was the scouts and "experts" that had him rated that high, and many of them prior to the bowl game. He's dangerous, for sure, he could be a bust. But he's got a helluva high ceiling too.
Prove to me he'll be a bust and I'll join you in crucifying Heckert if he takes Fairley.
