I don't want to hear how you never pick your nose or rubbed one out on this thread or picked up a slumpbuster at 1:45 am. Save your BS for some one else because I will calls you out if I've know you long enough and you say you wanted an all pro team.

But since you have been following the Browns Next Generation since 1999 or whenever yuou started, who was the guy you wouold have wanted number one -- and he HAD to be available with the pick?

I'll be honest as you can see. Some clunkers, some better choices, and some wher ethe Browns actually did what I wanted:

07-Fuck it, I bought into the jamarcus russel hype big time. thought brady quinn was a hack and didn't want any part of him, until I saw that damn pic of him in the hutch browns uniform, and then I felt bad. Loved the thomas pic, and still do
08- Lets trade away DA and pick up a 1st and 3rd, and get us Rashard Mendenhall to help an aging Jamal Lewis, who was on his last season
09-Was really high on Clay, Maulauga and Malcolm Jenkins. Was disapointed by this draft, but Alex Mack turned into a solid pro
10-Suh, Berry, Taylor Mays, Colt McCoy as our young QB of the future.

2006 - Wanted Ngata, but we traded. Then I wanted Bunkley
2007 - Wanted Peterson, but was fine with Thomas (and liked the Quinn trade)
2008 - N/A
2009 - Didn't really have a dog in this one. Beanie Wells probably would have been my choice, but was fine with Mack. Had we stayed at 5, I would've taken Crabtree
2010 - Haden, but also really liked Rolando McClain and CJ Spiller

But honestly dude, I can't remember shit which is why since June 07 I'm thankful that this place has documented any thoughts I had.

Suffice it to say that I'd have come away a cropper at least 50% of the time with guys I wanted. I wanted Winslow badly, I did not want any part of Braylon, was thrilled with Thomas and was dying for Rey-Rey with many others.

Wouldn't have been close with Clay Jr as he looked like a safety to me at the time of the draft

Still not one to bang them for Mack but I was one who told you to STFU on Veikune as they knew what they were doing.

Cannot recall them all, and to "be honest" who we drafted in years 1 & 2 significantly impacted my desires from there on out.

I wanted Ricky Williams more than anyone else to launch the franchise. I also remember (after being convinced from reading some scouts) really wanting Kearse that year.

I know I wanted Brown in 00 (after not getting RW or JK the season before), but after that outside of LT I remember feeling like we needed to start over each draft b/c of missing the boat so badly in the first two.

Like others I did want KW2 and BE at the respective times.

I guess I'd have to preface by saying that in the early years, 99-04 or so, I watched the draft every year but didn't really follow it other than what I read in the PD and what I saw from actual college games. I don't remember much in the way of pre-draft rankings or who the Browns were supposed to take or needs or anything like that

03 - i loved Boss Bailey but no idea on his pre-draft ranking, he went in the 2nd round

06 - Ngata or Wimbley so I was OK with the trade at the time
07 - Joe Thomas though pre-draft I would have loved Calvin Johnson but he went #2 anyway

For 2011 I want 1)AJ Green or 2)Patrick Peterson and also, before his value shot sky-high at the combine, Marcel Dareus. He'd be #1 ahead of Green if he's still there but it seems like he won't be.
