Small Engine Repair

Brought home a MTD rear tine tiller that was left for dead behind the baseball field. Gave her a little TLC and got it running while listening to the game today. Let her idle for a while, went into the garage and heard "bang, knock, bang", then it shut off. Locked up tighter than a 6 year old nun on Sunday. Any suggestions?

I'd drive a pickup truck to the Home Depot. I'd idle there until a couple of Mexicans jumped in the back. I'd drive home and give them each a hoe.
I got this one rule. I never go out with girls who say "bitchin'".

Try taking the cover off and turning the flywheel. If it turns over, than it's probably a starter component. If not, you may have deeper issues.

No luck. It ain't moving. Pulled off the head, the cylinder didn't look scored. Maybe tossed a bearing or busted shaft.

..and FUDU is wrong, as usual.

FMB don't play dat small engine stuff...we're into track loaders, mini excavators and 5 ton dump trucks

It's because your garage sucks.

Get rid of that Night Ranger poster and get some more saws and a nail gun. There is no bad to time to use a nail gun, i've seen Arachnophobia, that shit can save your life.

Get a bigger engine.

And my garage is topnotch. I have 5 saws, 3 nail guns and a 1989 AFC Central Champions shirt hanging on the wall.
