Tripods don't have a shit-fit there is no new offer for free Chick Fil A. I just did not think this warranted a new thread.

Since i have been in the Atlanta area for about 2 months now, i have jumped and I mean Jumped on the Chick Fil A bandwagon. The franchise started in the Atlanta area and they are everywhere down here. I never gave them much of a thought but now I am hooked on the 4 piece chicken strips meal with the Chick Fil A sauce. I was back in Ohio on business this week and I missed my Chick Fil A fix. I have got to get some this week. What is the secret? Do they add an addictive drug to the food somehow? It has definitely become my number 1 fast food restaurant.

I will never have it 50+ times a year like FUDU does the Chipotle pilgrimage but the place rocks.

I'm way off the pace for 2011, only 9 trips to Chipotle so far this year. However my Penn Station visits are up as are my gyro trips. I'm trying to eat a little bit more balanced diet this year.

Throughout the course of my travels for eats I have uncovered a harrowing correlation between long lines and traffic jams. Without fail it always comes down to one person, if we can just figure out a way to eliminate that one person I think we can solve most of the worlds problems.

Things get "interesting" at Indianola (Road, not avenue). North of Midlothian is hood. Drove by St Dom's one weekend afternoon when it was 60 degrees recently and it looked like an old Dr Dre/Snoop video down the sidestreets.

They taste fine but the quality is bleh, by no means garbage, and sorry JB Wendy's is dumpster food. 5 Guys fries are a matter of location IMO, most times I get em they are top notch, not as good as Penn Station fries though.

You'll get a better burger at 99% of most bar n grilles than 5 Guys in Ctown.

I went to Chik Fil A one time and vowed never again. The chicken was not even real chicken, it was that diced and spliced fake patty. Nasty. The fries were damn good though. Five Guys I could eat weekly and not get tired of it. My son and I always sneak peanut shells into my wife's purse and coat pockets. She pulls peanuts out for weeks after a visit which makes it that much more enjoyable to go there.

Don't go there often but when I do it's a 2bl w/cheese, fries, and small chili w/chs and extra hotsauce. Need enough for the chili and the fries.

We've done this before but I'll forever swear that the Big Boy from Manners was the best burger of all time. Not the canadian thousand island sauce either. The tartar sauce. Like the Manner's/Bob's at Babbit & Lakeshore or 272nd and Euclid when I was growing up.

Love Rally's, thank you very much. Hardly ever go there because the closest one is somewhere I don't usually go past. Big fan of their fries and the burgers, albeit greasy, are more filling than most places. Plus, I can get 2/$3.

I don't like the bullshit flame-broiled taste of BK. I rarely go there either.

Wendy's is so beyond awful, I cannot for the life of me fathom why people like it so much. Even when I went, I'd get chicken nuggets because the burgers are so unappetizing.

I like McDonalds, quite a bit actually. Convenient, cheap, and tasty. Couldn't care less about Morgan Asshole Spurlock's documentary. Couldn't care less about all the bitching people do about McD and how unhealthy it is.

That said, give me Taco Bell or Arby's over McD. Nothing beats Taco Bell for me in terms of the easy-access fast food joints. Swenson's and Chick-Fil-A are far better on taste, but nothing beats 3 tacos and a chicken burrito for $4.

Wendy's is severely over rated, better than MCD's of course (McD's is worst restaurant on the planet, reason is they are also the largest).

Whopper's are pretty damn good burgers, for fast food. Big Bufords are good JB b/c you're drunk when you eat em, at least you should be, also the reason why they're cheap. You don't even have to chew em, that is by design, see drunk comments above. Wendy's actually has pretty decent chicken sandwiches.

I'm with peeker though, Big Boy burgers were awesome, might be best ever.

The catch with fast food sandwiches though is mostly about the promotions they have going on, I mean they all have some fairly average to god awful food but if you get the right deal sometimes one stands out way above the others (IE 2 whoppers for $4, etc for Wendy's or even America's Roast Beef).

Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger.

More I think on it more FUDU has a point about tavern burgers. You put a Gally Slave next to a Ray's Place Mofo and it's like Snooki next to Brooklyn Decker. Remember my mom taking us to Manner's in Valley View, grabbing a sckful of BB's and heading over to the Cloverleaf Drive In to catch the Apple Dumpling Gang, Swiss Family Robinson or whatever the latest Disney flavor of the week movie was playing.

I made the mistake of trying to eat Rally's in the middle of the day. No way can anyone digest that unless they have at least a 6 pack in 'em or half a fifth of bourbon. Kinda the reason the original Big Egg was packed between 1:30 and 5am and barely a soul in there during real breakfast hours.

Had my first taste of Sonic last weekend. May probably be my last as it was none too impressive or memorable.

I am back, had 3 days up in the mountains (including an 18 inch powder day at Vail that was unbelievable. Powder to your thighs in spots. Amazing) and a day walking around Denver hitting up samplers at Wynkoop, Breckenridge Brewing and Great Divide
