How do people find this show funny?

I have tried to watch it several times, and I would honestly rather cut my genitals off with a rusty butter knife that have to sit through a whole episode.

I guess all I can say is it's a different type of humor than what you find funny. Personally, I find it hilarious.

I get that way with Modern Family. Everybody tells me it's hysterical. I watched it a couple times and just don't find it funny. I get the jokes, I get what they're trying to do. I just don't laugh.

I dont really find many shows on tv today that funny.

King of Queens (mainly because of Jerry Stiller) and Seinfeld were classic. South Park is good.....but Family Guy is not funny. I find more comedy in Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.

And no I dont watch My Name is Earl, I loathe that show. I also hate the office, and I for one can not wait until it is taken off the air.

Family Guy is played out. American Dad was ok. South Park can be hit or miss. Metalocalypse, Squidbillies, and Frisky Dingo (Killface is one of the best cartoon characters ever) are the only current cartoons i'd say are really great.

Old Adult Swim too.

Family Guy is hilarious even if played out a bit. The obviousness of it all is part of the humor, then some of the lines they cross (even if crossed before by others), can watch it everyday. It's the logical extension of the Simpsons.

Family Guy is high quality. As was Brak. DVR The Office (English Version), which somebody runs (TOON or COMD) intermittently. Such a quality comedy. American Office jumped ship long ago (when they stopped caring that people cared about the characters).

All of these shows pale in comparison to Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist.

Thank goodness 2 1/2 Men is off the air. That show sucked. I will admit to watching the show about the nerds- Big Bang Theory. It gives insights into the lives of many TCF board members.

Agree on the British version of The Office. Watched that years ago and wouldn't watch US version til very recently. The first few years of US version were really good IMO.

And I like The Big Bang Theory too if I happen to catch it. Mostly because Kaley Cuoco is stunning.

Family Guy is intolerable at this point. American Dad is actually the only one of those Cartoons worth a damn at the moment.

Either way as far as comedies only two matter, Parks and Rec and Community. The rest is meh to feh.

I should clarify that Louie (if you call it a comedy) is probably better than anything else going. Not a true comedy though.

And the best cartoon right now is Archer on FX, which is fantastic. Thursdays at 10, check it out if you haven't.

American Dad's not bad...

Squidbillies bagging on Tim Tebow was pretty funny, they seem to be pretty big UGA fans as they had as the voice of god being Larry Munson.

Office has gone down hill lately, same with family guy, though the two have a long way to go to reach simpsons-levels.

The 1st 3 seasons of ATHF gave me enough laughs to last a decade or so. That show was fantastic when it came out years ago on NYE, its great now. Will say the newer episodes leave something to be desired, but that is the nature of shows like that. Watch Tosh.O. Stupid people doing stupid things on camera never gets old, as long as you have the stomach for some of that shit.

FUDU hates Archer and loves family guys. Proof is in the pudding re: why toilet humor is so popular.

And OJ American Dad used to suck (was horrible). Now if I bother to watch any of that shit on Sunday nights it's consistently the only one that makes me laugh. Show came a LONG way with its writing.

I wonder if FUDU is even smart enough to realize that American Dad getting bad ratings out of the gate pushed Seth Fuckstick to leave the shows writers alone (which led to it getting better) and turn Family Guy into his own political mouth-piece.

I don't care what your beliefs are, Family Guy was always based on simple jokes and pop-culture references (which I am sure FUDU gets none of and confuses me as of to why he likes it. DIane Lane and McGyver stopped being pop-culture about 20 years ago and they used up all their 80s references by season 4). Any show that runs as simple a pop-culture and fart joke model as Family Guy does has about a 3 year lifespan. When you take that fact and add in the political grandstanding it's beyond bad.

South Park is up and down now but at least they are still true to their political ripping on everyone roots. Family Guy is nothiing more than a toilet humor Nancy Pelosi poster based circle jerk.

The thing that pisses me off more than that shit hole show, is how much money Seth McFarlane has made off of it. He does have some talent though when you compare him to some of the completely no talents making money , ie Jersey Shore cast, Kesha, Nickelback, Jay Cutler, Hulk Hogan, Jake Gylenhall, etc
