Some 5th grade girl asked my 5th grade son if he wants to do "69" on facebook chat. He responds he doesn't know what that means. She tells him she doesn't really know either, to ask an adult. He asks my mother, (his grandmother). She says she's not sure what it means. She thinks that it might be the number of the "end of the world, or the devil or something" (maybe thinking of 666). At this point I walk in the door to pick up my kids , my mother turns to me and asks "do you know what it means to do 69?".

You can't make this crap up....I weap for the future.

Guess I had an idea of what it was way back in 5th grade but like others have said, my concerns were more, "what time is everyone getting together to play baseball/football/basketball?"

Exactly, and I'm no father, but I learned everything I knew without any parent explanation. Think its better just to try and instill a general sense of right and wrong and morals and all that. Casue I don't know how the hell you would approach these subjects. I couldn't without LMAO. My kids will never go to Dad for serious input.

I was dropping f-bombs in first grade like I was a rapper. Going to a Catholic grade school, we got the sex talk in 4th grade. Ironically, it was from two priests and our 4'11" 445 lbs. principal.

Christian school I went to would get pissed and suspend if you stepped out of line ever so slightly, I recall one of the principals giving a lecture about how you could get suspended for the word "Sucks". But hey, they were the ones that educated marilyn manson for a few years, so I guess that worked out quite well for them.

Great point. Way out of place for me to tell someone else how to parent, but IMO 5th grade is too young for Facebook. I am a huge Facebook hater, and wish it would just be nuked out of existence, but I get that it's sometimes difficult to keep your kid away from it.

3rd grade daughter. She loves to read books and write in her journal. I let her buy 20-30 bucks worth of new books a month. No facebook.

I have fantasies about raising a librarian, and not the kind in those videos.
