Trailing SelbyisGod's team by a run in game two of our series, and in the bottom of the 9th, Rocky Colavito hits a walk off 2-run HR and then collects four more knocks in game three of the series to take a couple big ones.

Well done Rock. And I've got Schmidt back after losing him to some bullshit injury that FUDU probably arranged.

Scrap Iron Phil Garner had a few hits in Schmidt's absence though.

Glad I'm not too wrapped in this stupid game though.

Couple of good match ups tonight between some of the top teams. Time to put some distance between me and Dick before I got a chance to continue my magic against the Yetts, Jacksons and Knees of the Central.

BTW, since baseball season is almost here, this is always a great thing to get the fever going, especially the game tying Omar AB in the 9th, gives me goose bumps every time.

After a a 8-13, 2 HR series against Moustache (including single-handedly winning one game), Albert Belle is officially out of the doghouse. :cheers:

After a tough start to the season, to be 41-43 and only 4 games out shows remarkable resiliency by the Knees.

Bernie Williams needs to get more respect from the All Star voters.

Great how all these races are so close. Guess it's hard to pull away or go nuts when it's All Time Greats battling each other.

Depends on if we can get over .500 for the first time all season.

Belle has actually been improving steadily after his dismal 4-42 (or something like that) start. His batting average will look terrible all season, but he's really been contributing for the last week or so. He's now among the league leaders in RBI, but that's mostly due to having 3 guys ahead of him with .400 OBPs.

Noticing that Billy Hamilton can't hit lefties (and dropping him from 1st to 7th in the order against LH starters) has helped, too.

I gutted my entire pitching staff and cut Lou Gehrig and Roy Campanella this week. All while battling Pauly C for the lead.

And I mean my entire pitching staff aside from Eric Plunk (I'll never understand this game), Bob Knepper (I'll never understand this game) and Dave Righetti (that I understand).

Still fighting tooth and nail with PC and we're currently tied and facing off tonight for the lead. But I am learning about a few things (You bastards never mentioned balance ratings and you understated defense which was the big reason behind my moves this week which ran at 80% when a more learned manager would have taken care of these things in the week between the draft and games. You cork smokers. My victory will be even more satisfying now).

I come back from making an American Pale Ale and Dry Irish Stout (for the express purpose of mixing the two for Black & Tans) and the first thing I look for when I get home is the goddamn Strato scores.

Then I make sure my kids are okay and tucked safely in bed. ;-) ;) :wink:

And I took 2/3 against PC. Look at the standings. On this day and probably this day only, I have the best record in baseball. :nanner:

But look at game 1 from my series. I don't know how to do what PC did in the later innings. But I'm on a quest to figure it out.

Yeah, I needed the hellfish to finally shown up. Satch had been the only reliable starter then dropped 8 of his lat 10 decisions. The home run race looks exciting.

Last week the games were posted by 12:30 one night, now I have an OCD thing going where I have to check my scores instead of my alarm clock.

I just got back from dinner. I bought 5 credits this afternoon when there was 10 spots left. On the message boards they are always bitching about how long it takes to fill leagues. I figured I was fine. I'd get back tonight, have a little time to look at some cards and set up a draft list. I was actually driving home from the restaurant 10 minutes ago thinking about strat and wondering how many weeks it was going to take until it got filled.

And this is the first thing that I see? The damn league is already full?

Paul C. 1st, 1 game lead over what's his name (this one is probably wrapped up).

What's his name has WC edge right now of 2 & 3 games respectively over Rich and myself. Not a very safe lead what so ever.
