Never too early to fire this up. March Madness day one coincides with St. Patrick's Day this year. All the more reason to get together and have a good time. Last year was awesome out at Coach's off E. 305th. Where to this year?

Take the first two days off every year, would love to drive in, but if there is anything irritates me more than picking 8/9 match-ups it is amateur drinkers behaving like buffoons on March 17th.

Was going to start a thread, but I'll put it here: anyone going to the first round games at the Q. Got my tickets in the mail on Thursday. Cannot wait. Besides watching the Bucks in the final 4, I can't imagine anything better. First experience, can't wait. A good chance these games may feature OSU and Pitt, if they can both take care of business.

Good point on March 17th issue. Might have to schedule any TCF dealio for either the Friday or Saturday after. I know it ain't Day 1 but I'm with Squints in not suffering the ridiculous number of drunken assholes that will be in a bar and on the roads.

Lucky Charms eatin boiled beef & drinkin red beer aren't gonna be everywhere that afternoon...

As long as the tavern doesn't start with a Mc, O', Murph, Erin or Kelly then we're solid...

Head out to one of the dives near Peek's house and the only cabbage you'll see is the mulla exchanging hands for 32oz PBRs, pork rinds & ice cream sandwiches...

Yeah, Friday won't work for me either. If it's nice, I'm playing golf with a couple teammates before we go drink and watch basketball before our 6 pm game. If it isn't nice, I'm drinking over in Lakewood somewhere before our game.

If there's a meet-up Friday before the games, I can try to get there in time. I have to be non-committal as we have to do life things before we can make the drive.

Date day for the afternoon and then ditching the wife for some quality father/son time in the p.m. followed by a dad's day out on Sunday. Feel like Jimmy Fallon as he was divvying up his season tickets in Fever Pitch.

Can't wait. Now that I'm working a flex schedule I have Thursdays off so I'm down....

after going to my sons St Pat's Day party at daycare

and after he gets up from his nap, probably around 3ish

after I get the 3 mo old fed and down for his nap

maybe after going to pick up wife from the airport as she gets home from seminar on the 6pm flight

maybe after we sit down to dinner and get our chance to see each other

maybe after I give the kids a bath and get them ready for bed.

That'll work. By the time I get all that done and meet up w/ you guys I should catch the second half of the last game

The place is called (originally enough) The Captain's Club.

They have a $5 lunch menu every day, domestics are $2.25 or $2.50 domestic drafts (16oz).

$1 off drinks til 6pm too.

I just know it's big and the bar food was decent when I tokk Lisa and the girls in there after a Captain's game.

That work? I guess Scorcher's is there too. Or we go up on rt 20 to Panini's.

OR we go downtown Willoughby to Burgers N Beer or one of those joints.

Now, instead of drinking beer and watching basketball at a bar with some guys I haven't met but talk to daily, I might get to help my wife watch her cousins kids.

Hooley House on Friday.

It's just south of the Rt2/Rt306 interchange on Rt 306 in Mentor. Behind Chipotle. If you go under the railroad tracks you just went by the place on your left and need to turn around.

They have really good food and I know they have Conway's on tap plus other shit too.

At least 22 TVs because my 10 yr old annoyed me by counting them one afternoon.

No more changes.

Do you guys get it started at noon? I've got a conference Thursday evening in Beachwood so if it's a late-afternoon/evening thing I'd be unable to make it.

Originally me and some buddies had planned on Vegas next weekend, but one by one they kept dropping out till it was just me and one other guy left. Already had those days off locked in so now looking for something constructive (or would this be deconstructive?) to do.
