Trailing SelbyisGod's team by a run in game two of our series, and in the bottom of the 9th, Rocky Colavito hits a walk off 2-run HR and then collects four more knocks in game three of the series to take a couple big ones.

Well done Rock. And I've got Schmidt back after losing him to some bullshit injury that FUDU probably arranged.

Scrap Iron Phil Garner had a few hits in Schmidt's absence though.

Glad I'm not too wrapped in this stupid game though.

Couple of good match ups tonight between some of the top teams. Time to put some distance between me and Dick before I got a chance to continue my magic against the Yetts, Jacksons and Knees of the Central.

Any place I can get streaming audio of the games?

You say screaming audio?

Sure. Give me your number and I'll call at 120am with an update you won't ever forget.

Bottom of the 9th, fans on their feet, listen to the crowd, here's the wind up, and the roll......Oh 5-6!, Eck strikes out Javier to end the game.

BTW, since baseball season is almost here, this is always a great thing to get the fever going, especially the game tying Omar AB in the 9th, gives me goose bumps every time.

That happens with also-rans.

Big series matchup tonight in the west between the two teams with the best record in the league. Might be worth watching as Speaker City and Purple Capped Warriors hook up for control of the divison.

:lmfao:

When you go to Arizona Al?

Anyone see me sweep three from FUDU's nine?

No?

Well it happened just moments ago.

After a a 8-13, 2 HR series against Moustache (including single-handedly winning one game), Albert Belle is officially out of the doghouse.

After a tough start to the season, to be 41-43 and only 4 games out shows remarkable resiliency by the Knees.

Bernie Williams needs to get more respect from the All Star voters.

What happens after the games tonight? Anything?

Great how all these races are so close. Guess it's hard to pull away or go nuts when it's All Time Greats battling each other.

Depends on if we can get over .500 for the first time all season.

Belle has actually been improving steadily after his dismal 4-42 (or something like that) start. His batting average will look terrible all season, but he's really been contributing for the last week or so. He's now among the league leaders in RBI, but that's mostly due to having 3 guys ahead of him with .400 OBPs.

Noticing that Billy Hamilton can't hit lefties (and dropping him from 1st to 7th in the order against LH starters) has helped, too.

Rich is gonna be liking Strat again, at least for today.

Nicely done, your first I assume?

19 out of 26 rolls on pitchers card, that is rare, and exactly how it is done.

My second. Had a no-no from Koufax before.

MUCH needed sweep.

Big series coming up, as I try to finish my comeback from last place in the Central to take first place from selbyisgod's team. Unfortunately, team MVP Bernie Williams is going to be injured for the whole series...let's see if the rest of the guys can pick up the slack.

I gutted my entire pitching staff and cut Lou Gehrig and Roy Campanella this week. All while battling Pauly C for the lead.

And I mean my entire pitching staff aside from Eric Plunk (I'll never understand this game), Bob Knepper (I'll never understand this game) and Dave Righetti (that I understand).

Still fighting tooth and nail with PC and we're currently tied and facing off tonight for the lead. But I am learning about a few things (You bastards never mentioned balance ratings and you understated defense which was the big reason behind my moves this week which ran at 80% when a more learned manager would have taken care of these things in the week between the draft and games. You cork smokers. My victory will be even more satisfying now).

Ok, if a guy has 9L next to his batting line, do you want him in against left handed starters or right handed?

Am I doing this backwards?

LOL, but in case you are serious 9L means balanced heavily for lefties.

Anywayy quit your whining Peeker, you still haven't paid me for consultation of the first half.

Thank you?

I should kill you and Rich. This game rules my life.

I come back from making an American Pale Ale and Dry Irish Stout (for the express purpose of mixing the two for Black & Tans) and the first thing I look for when I get home is the goddamn Strato scores.

Then I make sure my kids are okay and tucked safely in bed. ;-) ;)

And I took 2/3 against PC. Look at the standings. On this day and probably this day only, I have the best record in baseball. :nanner:

But look at game 1 from my series. I don't know how to do what PC did in the later innings. But I'm on a quest to figure it out.

So, that didn't go so well. But without Bernie Williams, and to lose Zach Wheat in the first inning of game one...

Yeah, I needed the hellfish to finally shown up. Satch had been the only reliable starter then dropped 8 of his lat 10 decisions. The home run race looks exciting.

Last week the games were posted by 12:30 one night, now I have an OCD thing going where I have to check my scores instead of my alarm clock.

You may find some of your players featured at the www.baseballheritagemuseum.org

Hey FUDU, My computer is broken and the interwebs aren't working at all. I can't see my strat team. What happened in our series last night? I think it was at your park, right?

Can you fill me in with some detail?

Dear FUDU- Where are you?

Whatever happened to Mother's computers Saturday night apparently made it's way East and happened to mine last night.

How did our series go? Why aren't you posting pictures of Clubber Lang? How'd we end up on our season series. If you weren't aware I've never played before so I was wondering if maybe there is somewhere I can go to check on these things.

How many freaking games do we play a night, 10, b/c it sure feels like my last 10 all took place in five minutes, fuck, feel like I got hit by a truck.

BUT it took all this recent slide for most of you chumps to make ground, so Mo & Rich, keep first place warm for me until some time late this week or early next will ya.

What??

I can't hear you Donny. I'm way upstairs and you're in the cellar. Maybe when you get out of the basement we can talk.

My bullpen was able to rest during the last two blowouts. Thank you. Plunky's wearing down some. :lmfao:

:gah:

I actually got a team and set up a draft list, only to see that your league filled up. That was quick.

Oh well, I've got my money in for another league, sometime.

WTF!!?

I just got back from dinner. I bought 5 credits this afternoon when there was 10 spots left. On the message boards they are always bitching about how long it takes to fill leagues. I figured I was fine. I'd get back tonight, have a little time to look at some cards and set up a draft list. I was actually driving home from the restaurant 10 minutes ago thinking about strat and wondering how many weeks it was going to take until it got filled.

And this is the first thing that I see? The damn league is already full?

FML.

I was going to be Car Ramrod.

I can't believe this shit. I get my line-ups finally right, dump the scrub guys on my pitching staff and get some decent guys, and proceed to lose 15 out of 17 fucking games. Most by one run.

Never has the :gah: been more appropriate. Best of all, it was me who made the stupid sweatshirt bet and now I'm one of three guys who's gonna have to ante up. Fuck a fucking duck.

The 83.3333% of the season finished update.

moscratch 1st , 6,7,8 game leads (lots of time left in this race).
Selby 1st, 6 game lead over Jumbo in 2nd (still a chance for Jumbo).
Paul C. 1st, 1 game lead over what's his name (this one is probably wrapped up).

What's his name has WC edge right now of 2 & 3 games respectively over Rich and myself. Not a very safe lead what so ever.

With only division games remaining it's bad news that I can't win against those teams.

I need more opportunities against The Cleveland Experience and So We Told Em 2 Stick It.

Still, not a bad maiden voyage.

Congrats PC. No way you can lose it now.
