The guy was lying on the floor crying, and the Akron huddle accidently stepped on him. Be nice to see a replay but the four letter network had to switch to a west coast game. Already in progress.

They replayed it. Certainly looked inadvertent. The guy from Kent, who was probably the one who passed up the best look in that final possession, was laying on the floor around mid-court. The Akron players were celebrating and backed into him stepping on his head. If you don't want stepped on, move. It also looked like one of the Kent assistants was right in the middle, instigating, rather than separating.

I'd say the lower bowl was about 75% full, maybe a bit better. It was a good crowd and a good game to watch. It won't be part of any instructional videos. Disappointed that Porrino disappeared. Played hard but couldn't get to the rim with Akron's size waiting for him.

As for the game, I was cheering for baskets by both teams down the stretch. I just wanted a good game with a good ending, and I got it. I had some Kent fans going bananas behind me about the non calls at the end but I personally didn't think there were any fouls. I thought there may have been some contact on the first drive but you don't get bailed out at that point of the game, especially when you haven't been converting anyway.

And for the record, I was sitting with a good friend, who's a Kent graduate and the most die-hard fan I've ever met (for any team), and he didn't think there was a foul.

They've been trying to bulk him up, but depending on the opponent, have been playing Bardo and Cvetinovic there. He also has a way of getting into foul trouble with those long branches. Which puts a bullseye on his back, in one game he got called for two fouls in the first minute.

He needs some meat on his bones, and a little work on fouling himself out. Getting Dakotah Euton developed to replace the bigs they are losing will be a big help.

I'll be pulling for akron to do well so he can have a good time, other than that though....can't say I'm too happy with the results.

I give Akron no credit. None. nada, Zero. That was the worst game Kent has played since before Jim McDonald was coach. There was a lid on the rim and they shot like crap. Missed about 6,000 loks in the poaint they normally nail. Akron has one good player in Marshall and a bunch of crap. All their players look like Mongoloids or criminals. They could be extras in The Hills Have Eyes or Wrong Turn 2 . Proof positive your crummy reject school is open enrollment unlike Kent. They probably gum boiled meats. They will lose by 20 with their unathletic stiffs and be one and done. They don't even look like a D 1 team. Kent simply played down to their level of shit, and if Justin Green can hit a gd free throw they still win.


So I give you no credit, Spin. None. You prop up your crap team. That's your job, not mine. Enojy the upcoming Molly whompin'. Might even be a full on beat down.
