Any auto show fans out there?

I'm hitting it Saturday with the wife and kids in tow, and I am geeked. Love the whole aura. The getting into every car, picking up the brochures, the icy untouchableness of he spokesmodels, the bizarre caverosity of the IX center. My son is 14 and just caught car fever. He's gonna have a blast.

Anyone else going?

Love the auto show. Have gone each of he last 10 years. It's a tradition, just like the boat show. I'm not a car geek, but I like going through all the cars, especially the unaffordables. Did you know porche has an SUV???!!! Free parking, a chance to break up the monotony of the winter.

More of a practical reason this year, as we need a new car. The one stop shopping, indoor aspect is also makes it worth the drive.

The father in law started coming up every year for the past seven years and then treats us to dinner after we go.

You won't be seeing me at that thing, I worked in the auto mobile business for years, I was at an auto show everyday of my life during that time. Cars are cars at the point, no different than a mechanic not wanting to work on the wife's car when he gets home, a landscaper not wanting to mow the lawn etc etc etc, imagine being married to a gynecologist?

However, it is nice if you're in the market or want to see a niche car, and for some reason (no idea why) the memory of looking/shopping for new cars always sticks with kids.

They still use hot ass brauds to showcase the cars on the rotary platforms? Heard a great story about one of em years ago.
