What I am is a selfish prick. I don't give a fuck about much other than me and mine. My sense of global right and wrong is broken.

I'm fine with helping a fellow redneck out but not the same redneck 30 times. I'm not about a welfare state and repeated handouts and abuse of the system but I honestly don't care if Jack marries Jill or Jack marries Bill and it's okay with me if they adopt 'Lil Phil.

Not talking to you JB but everyone from Keith Olberman to Sara Palin thinks they're a centrist. I'm just tired of everybody shouting as loudly as they can and no one listening. That's why I've determined the whole fucking process is hopeless and therefore pointless.

I'm a disinterested dude that wants to hunt deer and rabbits and who will help you up once or twice til you start abusing my assistance.

Whatever that makes me is what I am.

And I find monkeys and midgets fucking hysterical.

If you recall some of my posts regarding politics, and I doubt you have, this pretty much sums up my entire stance on worldly things. However, I have much more Hatey McLife flowing through my veins. The backwards ass folks in the ME can dig their own holes and die in em. At some point, people being "oppressed" or those who don't have the means to have their voices heard are better served taking up a firearm. And if you think that view only applies to folks outside US borders, uh uh.

While we're on the subject of Democracy, who's to say Democracy is the cure over there? If you have large congregations of people who deny/hate/don't want to adopt western culture, by all means they can topple a theocratic government and put a system in place that makes voting FOR beating women and using draconian methods of punishment a completely acceptable practice. Its 6 in one hand, half a dozen in the other all that changes is the method of delivery.

The entirety of this post was excellent. I especially agree with the last part. Unfortunately, if it does take that much time, it makes the topic all the more mind-numbing. Regardless of all the debate, we will never see THAT world in our lifetimes which is why I am so jaded and apathetic about the whole thing. I don't understand getting all huffy and puffy when the solution to the problem lies with the people who occupy the very lands our government is trying to stabilize. US/Global intervention at this point, IMO, is a stop-gap when trying to improve/raise up 3rd world countries and/or theocracies/dictatorships. At some point, you either get WW3 when credos collide, or the US simply puts its guy in place.

Where the f is our boy on Libya? Snipers on Helo's and Strafing by gunships? Is this like typical Democrat/limp wrist/whatever you want to call a weak liberal? Stongly condemn within the Internation Community? Hillary must have let Bill's balls go...

Ghadafi is a little strnger in his will to hold on then Mubarek. We see how Obama wilts when things are tough.

^One of his legit names is Mad Dog of the Middle East.

I'd like him to say something. Did you see Hillary's statement? When you have that level of violence and repression, the least that could be asked of the PotUS is some tough rhetoric. IMO, its been typical of his foriegn policy to discipline the good kid.

Something like GHWB did when Kuwait was invaded. Every threat doesn't need to be backed by military action. Only the very few to make the threat legit.

Fucking useless liberals.

Maybe Mary Cheney and Ann Coulter could hook up and do a web cast diatribe against Moamar. That's scare the shit out of him. Especially if they look away from the web cam.

Or we could do a chicken shit bomb and run and chest thump like we just walked out of Rambo III.

Yawn.

My favorite thing about that link is the first comment:

the obama/ajad gang are bringing islamic revolution to the entire civilized world
that was the plan all along.
once liberal jewry couldnt use communism to destroy civilization, they centered on their last hope islamism.

Seems like a reasonable dude.

Maybe then the UK could spend Bill and Waity's cake budget on establishing that no fly zone dan wants me to help pay for. I'd rather pay GHCS's library salary, and you know how I feel about that...

Wasn't advocating for the no-fly zone, dude. Just asked how people felt about it, since it's an idea that's on the table. (Just that when people start talking about "the international community" doing something, we know what that usually means, right?)

Ever read any "didget" posts over at tOBR? Lunacy is the common theme with all them.

Say what you want about those forums, but most of the people got their start in those forums, and tWWR and CS forums in their day trumped.

However that will devolve into a matter of opinion, and I was more concerned about nailing down that comment to one of our local lunatics.

Setting up perfectly for a return of the Knights Templar. Damn video game makers need some new material.

Let them eat cake.

ETA
Started reading the article...
"Even before the uprising that toppled Mubarak, tensions had been growing between Christians and Muslims." (Part of the reason this doesn't do anything for me despite JB and CDT jumping on it. This shit has been in the back pages of the International section for the past FOREVER.)

"The Muslims torched the church amid escalating tensions over a love affair between a Muslim woman and a Christian man." :lmfao:

"At one point in the battles, Christian protesters blocked a vital highway, burning tires and pelting passing cars with rocks." :lmfao:

"Egypt's ruling generals pledged last week to rebuild the torched church in Soul. The head of Al-Azhar, Egypt's most prominent Islamic institution, promised that Muslims would help in the reconstruction as a gesture of solidarity." (Always that damn loony fringe, these are our moderate muslims. They aren't all bad.)

"Sharaf also met Christians who have been protesting outside the TV building in Cairo to reassure them that his interim government would not discriminate against them." :thumb up:
