Quick! Turn on the game. We're kicking the hell out of the Lakers. You know it won't last long, don't miss the window.

29-21 after 1st.

My old man is at the game, in a luxury box paid for by clients. When he called to tell me, he actually said "I'm going to the Lakers game tomorrow." This is a man who was born in Hinkley, Ohio and has never lived more than 30 miles from there his entire life.

Sigh....

There is good basketball being played right now, and it is by the Cavaliers...

No kidding. I can't think of any jokes for them right now.

Sessions with 16 points.

Hell, even Hollins looked partially competent a few times.

Up by 9. Could they possibly lose to the 0-25 on-the-road and beat the Lake Show within a three-day period.

Not likely. Only a matter of time before Kobe takes over and finishes them off, just like MJ used to do back in the day.

Lakers better shake themselves right quick. If that doesn't get their attention they're fucked right in the eye.

That West and Telfair for Sessions and Hollins deal is starting to look pretty good.

Payback, baby.

The Lakers have outscored us by 46 points in the two games these teams played, but we're 1-1 against them. Wierd.

Bask in the win. You have a right to be drunk.

When you come to in the morning you will again understand that NO deal involving Ryan Hollins is a good one. Except for the team watching that light pole with hands leave their city.

Well, if Hollins '11 > Hollins '10,and they can plausibly flip him for something > West + Telfair, I like.

^ love how Mamba throws up his hands and glares at Gasol once Eyenga gets around him. Kobe over commited, expecting Eyenga to pass the ball back rather than go baseline.
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

We can always cut Hollins and we will after this season. So it's Telfair and Delonte West for Sessions. That deal is looking great right now.

Some intesting stats from last night...

Kobe was 8-for-24 from the field with ZERO foul shots. Holy shit! Either he wasn't interested in playing a meaningless road game against a crappy team or the Cavs played some unreal defense. A superstar like Kobe gets all the close calls from the refs; how did he put up 24 shots and not get fouled? Whatever they were doing defensively worked.

Gasol had 10 offensive boards. Who was guarding him, Jamo?

Artest had no rebounds in 18 minutes. Never thought I'd see that. He obviously had no interest in this game.

JJ had 9 offensive boards. That's what we need him to do - hit the glass. Between JJ and Varajao crashing the boards next year the Cavs just might be among the league leaders in offensive rebounds. Especially the way our guards shoot.

Only 3 turnovers for JJ in over 40 minutes. Very nice.

Hollins - 5 fouls in under 14 minutes. Again. I'm assuming that as soon as he comes in the game the opponents get the ball to whoever he's guarding and clear out. And just keep doing it until he has five fouls, which is probably about six possessions. At least he was 4-for-5 from the field, so we got some of those points back.

Awesome win but I suspect is was mostly due to the Lakers being supremely overconfident and dead beat at the end of the seven game road trip.

Now we just need to win out to get that 8th playoff seed and get a shot at Miami in the first round. :lmfao:

You know the answer to this. This team isn't capable of unreal defense. Cavs played a decent game against a Lake team on the final night of a long East Coast trip. They were half on the plane.
