Cavs v. Clips- Don't Mess it Up Now

Unread postby peeker643 » Fri Feb 11, 2011 6:51 pm

One loss away from the worst game in NBA history as CavsTribe07' noted a week or so ago.

This would be epic to see a team on a 27 game bender hosting a team on a 25 game road losing streak. I'd suggest a really horrific ABC broadcast team do the game but Fred and AC are worse than anything else out there.

If they were a disease they'd be penile warts.

I want this badly Sunday. Not penile warts, but for the Cavs have to get past the Clips tonight and by 'get past' I mean get rolled.

Need a big night from Blake Griffin who, all Cavs ball-busting aside, will be fun as hell to watch.

Don't fuck this up for us Cavs. You get past this and the eminently movable object meets the eminently resistible force on Sunday.

C'mon Cavs...gotta make it happen...c'mon Cavs!!

It hurts that you're pulling against me and the Cavs tonight O.

Hurts bad.

Answers please:

1. Do you like this team?
2. Weren't you more embarrassed by 12/2/10 than by this little blip in their long, proud history?

;-) ;)

I'm trying to draw some folks to watch this one O. I might single-handedly triple their ratings for this game tonight. :thumb up:

Effin' Mo. That goldbricking bastard picks tonight to come back? Goddamit. :lmfao:

I can't take credit for finding this but...

Keep watching them Cavaliers Cleveland. F the Indians btw.

Q/A
1.)Yes.
2.)Yes I was embarrassed by 12/2. Embarrassed nearly everytime I watch. However, the idea of losing, or wanting to lose, is hateful to me... (thx Patton)

Have them watch. Tonight is the night the Cavaliers begin a winning streak. Two game streak coming bitches.

Mo Gotti from DEEEEEEEEEP in tha Q!!!!
Mo FLO!

Can't wait for AC to get going. I hate McLeod so I won't even pretend to disagree there...

I have to speculate that the losing streak and the weather are the only rational explanations for that.

And I think e0y sent me that link in an email. I'm still struggling to find any reason for those ratings other than what I noted above.

They have a chance to set a record every time they take the floor as long as they don't mess it up and win. That's worth watching. :thumb up:

And of course I provided both of you that ratings link. I'm good like that.

Horrible start for the Cavs if they're to meet their true destiny Sunday against Wizards.

They were up 5 for a second.

Thankfully JJ stated hoisting up 18 foot fall-aways and the Clips reclaimed the lead.

That was close.

Woodchuck? How'd I miss that? Were they out of Zima? :lmfao:

Don't worry Peeks. Jamo hasn't defended the P & R since ever and Hickson is the worst help defender in the league (it's all Scott's fault... I know).

Blake should drop forty if that fucker Baron Davis doesn't decide to shoot the Clippers out of the game.

Albanians make impotent moonshine. A West Virginian makes moonshine that will cause you to become impotent.

Albanian Moonshine, according to CDT, is the White Zinfandel of moonshine. :nanner:

It's been established elsewhere Peeks that OJ is gayer than the entire hosting group from Queer Eye for a Straight guy.

Just look the other way when he lets it show out.

And don't mention CDT, last thing this thread needs is him.

CDT's fanatsy about garages comes from him wanting to emulate American Beauty. His opinion is thusly rejected on its face.

It is funny to watch Ryan Hollins be ultra aggressive when the rebound falls into his lap.

I knew it!

He's still welcome here though.

Nothing exclusionary about this 3-man Cavs thread.

In honor of OJ I'm gonna turn on Housewives of Atlanta on the split screen and send the 10 yr old out to grab me some Bartels and James (alcohol content's low enough for 10 yr old to get that right?)

^He is obvioulsy the worst in that regard.

Watch 3 consecutive minutes of Cavaliers basketball, watch ball bounce off Hickson's head, hands, or chest. Its a lock prop bet.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha I just watched Sessions go pick-and-roll with Hickson. Well thats what Fred told me even though it was obviously a pick-and-pop Not even a CYO team respects Hickson on that play.

After that I promptly watch Hickson get called for 3 seconds on a made Parker 3. Then he non chalantly lets the ball roll around and gets caught in a jump ball with Griffin. He losses. He sucks. I hate him.

They just lost a 4 point lead in the last two seconds of the half and HAD a possession within that two seconds.

That was hard to do. They do keep surprising me, I'll give them that.

That was tremendous. Better than Reggie Miller's exploits if you do some extrapoltin'. :hide:

Cavs lead by 4, B Davis hits a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left.

JJ travels with .5 left and then Griffin gets a layup ooff the most obvious inbound play ever.

:lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao:

I actually saw something there I don't think I've ever seen. A team on a 26 game losing streak puking up a 4-point lead with two seconds left and a possesion.

It's never happened before.

I win for watching this.

HOLY JESUS! JJ just blocked the shit outta Griffin. GET THAT WEAK STUFF OUTTA HERE! yay caps.

No really this makes his block of Wade last year look downright pedestrian. Too bad he has no brain and is inconsistent as hell.

Mo then hits a 3, Cavaliers by 6.

I love the bad-ass face after 26 straight losses.

So great.

There's no way they can choke this one away.

They fucked up the anti-greatest game ever.

Oh yeah, I can't credibly criticize that idiot JJ Hickson if I don't take a second or two to recognize a huge game tonight.

Not even I can muster the hope that JJ can finally put it together. Great game tonight though. If he somehow gets more intelligent overnight we may be able to expect consistency.

Pictures of vibrant 6th largest city Cleveland make me sad...

OMG- The post game interview w/JJ doesn't bode well for him getting any smarter over night.

But dudes, the block on Griffin might be the lone highlight of this goat fuck of a season.

If anyone has that via Youtube ya gotta put it up.

And CDT, I'm gonna find something to complain about Sunday. Cavs will have run off two in a row and will then be poised for another 15 game losing streak.

Bullshit. That image is direct from the ABC affiliate here.

Ok. You got me.

I thought the fact it looked vibrant and like there were more than four businesses open would have been what gave it away.

Yo. Who's the magic man that started this thread though?

Hmm? Hmm?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I knew they would fuck it up.

Reminds me of my Senior year of high school. My basketball team actually went 0-21 my junior year, we finally won a league game (league with 10 teams) and in the locker room after the game one of the kids started chanting "We're number nine, we're number nine" Sad but true....except we are still number 30. Phuck.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

Saw the game live. I'm beginning to believe half his fuck-ups could be solved by simply getting someone else other than Ramon "Rick Vaughn" Sessions running the point.

JJ is pretty impressive when he's on his game, the team desperately needed Mo back, Boobie is the money man, Ryan Hollins is a modern miracle in how a 7' center can only land 3 boards when JJ is yoinking something like 15, Byron Scott's defensive plan is to give the opposing shooters more cushion than a Serta mattress, and that Griffin kid is pretty good even if the rest of his cast is positively Paxsonian. Damn shame I didn't get to see Hollins posterized.

Not saying he's good, but JJ's had a pretty decent couple weeks, aside from one truly horrific game. And yes, I understand that's like saying "Aside from the giant goiter sticking out of her neck, that chick's pretty hot".

I don't care how dumb JJ is or if he catches passes like he's playing soccer. If he has lines like this:

JJ: 27 pts, 14 rebounds, 4 blocks
Griffin: 32 pts, 13 boards, 0 blocks

then I'm OK with him. The 7 turnovers will kill us against a decent team, so that has to improve.

Hollins - 5 fouls in 16 minutes. Are you kidding me? Tell me at least two of them were deliberate. This guy can't get out of his own way.

Mo - 31 minutes, 18 shots and 14 assists. Were they even guarding him?

Extremely entertaining thread, even if I didn't get some of the early references.

IMO a couple wins like this won't affect the quality of the draft pick (wherever, and however good it was going to be).

And they pump up trade value of some of these guys. In the meantime, the fans get excited- there's value there. And the cult status of a guy like JJ is fun.

JJ's blocks are in the highlight video of the game on the CBS Sports site.

Hey, heard Joe Tait on TAM Fri morning, being interviewed. Didn't sound all the way back to normal, but he had some of his feistiness. Targeting his return sometime in March.

EDIT: I don't get to watch a lot of Cav games. Can someone compare the dumbness of JJ to the dumbness of Drew Gooden? Thanks in advance.
