And while I understand Gloria didn't tell Lil LeBron about Nagy and Alomar I feel very secure that she didn't have male genitalia out of her mouth long enough to tell him about Chambliss & Nettles either. So why the Yankee love?

Every now & again, Peeker. Wow.
Can I just add the reason for the cap could have been dismissed as urban fashion at the time ( Jay Z when he was good ) , but the donning of it in public at a Tribe playoff game?
Self-explanatory.
Can I add that AFAIC Raab should be interviewing Buff? Anyone can pillar Judas, but try beat writing for the 2009 and 2010 Tribe in a non-mail-it-in quality manner.

LeBron made his egress from Gloria's well-used funkhole.

My face exploded when I read that explanation.
Twice.

No. No it isn't.
LeBron at bottom is a mercenary, a hired gun. He was never one of us. He's from here but he isn't of here.
It's nothing more than what it is on the surface: a highly paid professional going to a different city to do his thing. The way he went out makes it singular, but only that. The fact that Akron happened to be the place where LeBron made his egress from Gloria's well-used funkhole is purely incidental. It might as well have been Amarillo or Anchorage.
