Huge Night for Cavs Tonight- Game Thread

Unread postby peeker643 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 3:25 pm

This is a rough one boys.

I circled this one on my calendar a couple weeks ago. I really think that if the guys in wine and gold can somehow find a way to lose the Pacers tonight that the NBA record for consecutive losses is theirs.

This game scares me though. The Pacers were bad enough to get their coach fred Sunday. That's also the good news. Maybe the coaching change woke them from their collective lethargy and they'll be playing hard tonight. It's a home game for the Cavs and while Gilbert smiles at another sellout you might wanna ask bar owners how many people are actually down there.

No matter. We need to watch this one and root on the home team to lose this one tonight. If you're gonna be bad, go big. I want a 30 game losing streak to put the pressure on anyone else that sucks and then I want to see a 20 game losing streak after they win one.

There's enough games left to do this shit right. It's almost as impossible to lose 70 as to win 70 but I have faith this team can do it.

Take care of business tonight first. No Boobie so a potential big night from 'Deep in the Q' is eliminated already.

Sweet!! Let's Go Cavs..Let's Go Cavs..Let's Go Cavs

Don't worry so much Peek. The Pacers have at least 4 players more talented than anyone on the Cavs. They're not nearly as bad as their record suggests.

I've circled the 9th when the Cavs host the Pistons as the night the streak ends. It will be at 25 by then. Although I kinda hope they lose that one and the next one vs the Clips, so we can have the Greatest Game of All Time on Sunday the 13th vs the Wizards in Cleveland. Wiz will put their 0-25 road record up vs the Cavs 27 game losing streak in a battle for all things shitty.

Should sign Ricky Davis to a 10 day contract and get him suited up for this one tonight.

All they need to do to win is score more points than Indiana. It's not that hard. We got Mo Gatti and Twan Jamo.

It's in the bag, guys.

Oh my God. Rich, can you get me press creds for that one? That would be the worst game ever. It's historically bad and I'd love to be there.

And no to Ricky Davis. He'd immediately be in the rotation and immediately be more talented than 4 of the guys already in it. ;-) ;)

I once heard Iverson use that exact line when asked what the key was to winning the next game.

Awesome start, 8-0 Pacers.

Even better is Chriatian Eyenga has twice led the break w/o giving up the ball and it looks like human bowling.

Bad news is Mike Dunleavy is better than any Cavalier on the court.

Wait..... that's good news.

:woot:   :nanner:

Of course as soon as I post the Cavaliers actually begin to play basketball and look like they may try again. However, just key on Ryan Hollins. It really hurts to watch that guy play. Isn't there some D-League scrapper that could take that roster spot. It's a sad state of affairs when the only 7 footer on the team is so absent of any basketball skills.

D-League?

He couldn't get a gig in Tel Aviv if he changed his name to Abraham Hollinstein.

That a boy Darren Collison!!! Kid knows a critical moment in a game when he sees one.

Historically speaking, if you can sign a guy that big for next to nothing, you know, the guy's just hangin' around out there, trust me, he really, really blows.

Don't look now. The Cavs are keeping it close enough so that when they lose it will hurt more.

I know that, just looking at what guys like Adonal Foyle were able to make in their careers proves it...

I was more or less venting about how much I hate Hollins. Oh, btw we had the lead their for a posession.

Hickson has the ball bounce of hishead like he is Drew Gooden. I think they may have the same IQ.

Well, we know if the Cavaliers get anywhere near to winning the officials will hose them out of the game, just like tonight.

It's a good thing I'm not an NBA player. I'd pummel Knick Bavetta until he was a bloody piece of meat lying on the floor.

I missed the blaming of officials. Sure, AP was banged on a run to the rim, but any team running JJ Hickson out on the floor for meaningful minutes in a close game deserves no whistles and to watch the ball bounce off his head full of shit. ;-) ;)

The dream is alive though.

You just knew the Cavs had what it didn't take to not get it done down the stretch.

Awesome work.

We're at Larry Nance and looking square in the face of whoever you can think of that wore 23.

AMEN!

On the play Collinson hits the backbeaking 3 Hickson shows on the pick, but the player he showed on was not a threat to do anything. He over committed and whammo.

I do too. But I hate their arrogance and insolence more than the general shitty job they do. Tough sport to ref, I get that and have been there. But they're lazy. I don't care about a bad call . But they SHOULD act like they give a shit that they are calling games at the very highest level. No fucking pride in themselves or their profession. That's what I hate.
