Terrific war documentary about a couple of outposts in the Korengal Valley in Afghanistan (aka The Deadliest Place on Earth) and US troops operating there.
It's not blood and guts or Saving Private Ryan but it's real and it's powerful (in my opinion).
Might be your one chance to catch it for free if you have National Geographic Channel/
8-10pm.

Got this from the library the other day. Very powerful stuff. The thing that stuck with me was the sit-down interviews and how young some of these guys are. The shit they saw and dealt with will stay with them forever...and you just wonder if it's worth it.

What struck me was the 99.9% dead time. Then combat came and went in just a few confusing moments. Never really able to see or engage the enemy straight up.
