Tots are for kids. Name one respectable restaurant where tots are an option with your sammich or steak. End of story.
Vinegar on french fries is outstanding. As are sweet potatoes in any form.
If you like fried bologna, you gotta try the fried bologna sammich at the Buckeye Beer Engine in Lakewood. If you like chicken and waffles, they are a menu specialty at the new Deagan's on Detroit in Lakewood. Off the charts good.
As far as tots at a respectable restaurant, I can't think of any, but I will never stop searching.
I've never actually eaten there, but I've heard that the fried bologna sandwich at the G&R Tavern in Marion will send you into convulsions of pure ecstasy.
Although we have a huge menu of just about any type of bar food you can think of, people come from far and wide for our famous fried bologna sandwich. Click on the picture to see the world famous sandwich. This isn’t just any fried bologna sandwich – it’s a 3/4 inch thick slab of the finest bologna, it's our own recipe, you’ll ever taste – spicy and garlicky and slightly coarse. It’s fried until the outside is browned and crisp and put onto a white bun with the normal condiments of monterey jack cheese, sweet pickles, and onions.
My friend went there once and said there was a biker gang at the bar that drove all the way up from Cincinnati just for the fried Bologna.
