Duke is Duke

Much to my chagrin, it would appear the Dukies have a juggernaut this season. I know it's real early but doggone they are good. Irving is a fantastic player and their lineup is solid, beat a good K State team last night and did so in fine fashion. Coach K everywhere this season. :pb: :gah:
"It's all about winning for me, and I think the Cavs are committed to doing that," he said. "But at the same time I've given myself options to this point, and like I said before, me and my team, we have a game plan that we're going to execute, and we'll see what we get."

Laid the smackdown on K St last night.

This Duke team is really good. First time I got a chance to see em last night. That freshman guard Irving is the real deal. Shut down K Sts big gun guard Pullen as well. Shut. Him. Down. Kid was like 1-10 when I passed out.

Singler is gonna end up being one of the best Dukies ever. Nolan Smith. The Plumlees. Johnny Dawkins kid. Best basketball coach on the planet.

They are the prohibitive favorites to win it all.

KSt is an abysmal free throw shooting team. That's going to kill them come tourney time.

I still have nightmares of that Memphis/Kansas title game from a couple years back. Had been putting money all season on Memphis at 8-1 to win it all. Lost several thousand dollars cause Rose and CDR went Chris Dudley on me.

Duke is going to be frightening. I know on any given evening they can be beaten but wow wee, the weapons they have this season, ridiculous. K State's coach
They knocked the living piss out of us," Martin said. "If there's a team better than they are, I don't want to play them.

That coach for K St scares the living shit out of me. The combined intensity between him and Coach K last night was almost too much to handle.

Fantastic.

Get to watch them Circle Jerk with Coach K in the middle all season long.

Christ.

And there isn't even the obligatory whiny, overrated, floor slapping point guard to throw a wrench in the works this year.

More time and attention going to college ball this year. Feels good to me.

Duke looks sick. I enjoy being in the minority of fans who actually likes Duke. They're Bizarro underdogs to me.

That UConn/UK tilt in Maui was tourney-worthy. Great early game and UConn put itself back on the map and into the rankings. Kemba Walker FTW.

DAYTON FLYERS (Defending NIT Champs) off to a quick 5-0. Hope they can stomp Cincy this Saturday. Go Flyers.

Kyrie Irving has been outstanding thus far. Two of the senior studs struggled for much of the game against Izzo's squad last night and it still to me, never looked in doubt. I know there are lots of games to be played but I think this Duke squad could go undefeated.
