Fox Sports Ohio has picked up Saturday's Cleveland State-West Virginia game.
Watch the Undefeated Cleveland State Vikings Take on the West Virginia Mountaineers Exclusively on FOX Sports Ohio
FOX Sports Ohio is excited to televise the unbeaten Cleveland State Vikings men’s basketball team this Saturday, December 18 at 2pm when they travel to Morgantown, West Virginia to face the Mountaineers, their toughest opponent to date.
Cleveland State leads the Horizon League and improved to 12-0 following last Saturday’s 74-62 victory over Sam Houston State. Trey Harmon scored a season-high 20 points, Norris Cole added 19 and the Vikings made at least 10 three-pointers for the fourth straight game. The win made CSU the first Division I team in the nation to win 12 games this year, receiving top mentions in both major basketball polls. The record now matches the third-longest win streak in CSU history (12-game streak in 1986-87) and trails the 14 straight wins in both 1985-86 and 1992-93.
The Big East’s leader West Virginia, which went to the NCAA Final Four last year with a 31-7 record, is off to a 7-2 start and is ahead of Cleveland State in both major college basketball polls.
The Mountaineers overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to slip past Duquesne 64-61 this past Sunday night in Pittsburgh. They return home, where they are 4-0 this season, to take on the Vikings this Saturday.
Last year, West Virginia needed a last second shot by Da’Sean Butler to knock off the Vikings in Cleveland. Watch FOX Sports Ohio this Saturday at 2pm for what will be an exciting rematch.
