Large missile launched 35 miles outside of LA. U.S. Military says they have no idea what it was. This should be the #1 story in the nation right now.

Look, its probably nothing. But its very rare you hear the military say they just don't know about something of this magnitude. They could have given any explanation, like it was just a missile test, and this story goes away. Hell they could have even just said "no comment" and everyone would have assumed it was just some more secretive test. The "we don't know" response makes this very interesting.

Its almost unthinkable that a missile as large as this one could be fired off any where on Earth and the US government wouldn't know exactly what it was and who fired it. Let alone just 35 miles of the US coast.

The "We don't know" response, rather then just a basic cover story, makes me think there is more to this story, and the government isn't sure what it should say yet. They don't want to commit to a cover story, only to have to go back on it later.

Most likely it was a military screw up A) testing where they shouldn't be, so how can they explain that one justifiably or B) they misfired and again how do they admit to that.

Either way it's weak and doesn't mesh real well with the whole notion of our military knowing everything about anything entering our country.

The optical illusion of an airplane contrail theory seems possible, but from the perspective of the helicopter that shot it, not so much? I could see that being the case if the shots were from the ground. Not to mention the difference in contrails of planes and rockets.

It's just funny that so many experts are calling it totally different things, and yet amidst this WOT we are "in" the terror alert status rises to severe if they sniff Arabian perfume in London.
