With the slow developing handoffs one guy getting upfield might disrupt things.

You can see our D's body language, they're looking for the staff and their adjustment, we're helpless, and how in the hell did it get this way, it is no secret what Wisky does.

4 & 1, easy easy easy for Wisky.

This game is minutes away from being over, then the second quarter will start.

Hang in there. We have some good players, get the ball back in the second half and there are signs of life out of the defense.

I honestly don't think the D-Line was expecting to get punched in the mouth. This is the first time our linebackers have actually had to do anything and they seem a bit shocked that they have to get involved in the running game. The Line is doing a better job plugging the middle, I see we are selling out with Hines now. Watch out for Wisky and the Play action.

We need TP to start looking like a heisman winner. They aren't blitzing and they are daring him to throw the ball, he should be running it. We may want to try to get a running game out of the shotgun going as Wisky is dropping 7 into zone.

19 plays, 89 yards, 10 minutes off the clock

They don't have to throw the ball again if they don't want to.

I didnt think that hit by Williams was that bad. One step and hit, that is what he did. That is the new gayness of football.

The defense is looking better. I really don't think the first 6 games prepared them for what they were going to face today. Now that said, our OL could take a lesson about run blocking today.

The OSU D line should get an attorney at half time and begin filing sexual assult charges against the Wisky OL

...and if SV and Pryor don't pull this one out, Newton from Auburn is the front runner for the Hypeman

The most dangerous player on the field isn't being used like it, not one bit.

Stop showcasing his "passing skills" and adjust to impact the game and get back in it, run the freakin kid.

Really, chuck it down field? How about if we use the TP legs and pick up first downs, get the defense a break and move the ball. The D has been on the field for ~12 minutes of a 16 minute game.

Amazing the best drive of the night so far, and why, we're using TP's legs too.

Get TD, stop get more pts, I'll take 21-10,14 and the ball in 3rd.

That was the worst series I have ever seen called inside the 5.

They do understand that everytime we put TP in the backfield we are running the wild cat. TP is not a good lead option running back. He is good at the read option, but not the option pitch. Besides, Herron is not really fast enough to get the corner and what good is a fucking field goal anyways. FUCK. FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCKY FUCKERS FUCK

Make it count guys, a FG is not good enough, TD is a must.

ETA: We can ill afford TP to take 3 quarters to get it together tonight, he's cold, mix it up and use his legs before the field shrinks too much.

Right now we can't find our dicks with both hands on offense. I really have to question going away from the run after seeing it was working.

Not tonight guys, not tonight. Players are not recovering from the shock of the opening KO return for TD. Poor decisions, lack of consistent execution and some strange play calls.

We are at Wisconsin's mercy now.

OK, let's see what comes out in the second half. The defense looks better and the Bucks get the ball. This is the worst half of OSU football since the 06 NCG.

I think this is way worse, Fla was a tad bit unknown that year and for a JT staff, this is Wisky, they don't even dress up for Halloween, they send you their play book the week before the game.

Being out coached and out played and to be so shell shocked for a veteran team on a NC run is embarrassing.

Halftime thoughts:

- I'm not terribly surprised. I've been telling folks all year long that OSU isn't as good as they are made out to be. Very limited on offense and while the D-line is pretty solid, the rest of the defense is so-so, IMhO.

- That said, (and at the risk of sounding like sour grapes) I think Wisconsin has been holding on just about every running play so far. You don't seal our defensive linemen the way they have been without some grabbing.

- People actually think Pryor has what it takes to be a top NFL quarterback? I've never seen it.

- The personal foul on the interception against the Badgers was an awful call. And stopping play so the guys upstairs can review a ball spot on a third down play in the first quarter is ridiculous beyond mention. If that's the route college football is taking, leave me out.

- I suspect that we will have to pitch a second half shutout to have any chance of winning this game. I think it's possible, but I doubt it will happen.

This game isn't over. Remember gents, this game was 14-0 within the first 5 minutes. The next 25? 7-3. OSU can move the ball, they just need to hold it. This feels eerily similar to the 06 NCG when it just felt like OSU never had the ball.

All true and right of you to point out, however IMO what is more important is how they are getting it done. Sure only 2 offensive TDs by Wisky (JT needs to echo this at half) but they are dominating our strength as a defense, the Dline and our ability to defend the run. So while there is time to put together plenty of offense my question is how do we stop them, I mean the staff has made almost no adjustment, IMO.

What an unbelievable first half. Special Teams sucked and has been an issue all year. Defense looked warn and offense look unimaginative. Cant see how they come back in this one but hoping I am wrong. I've been worried about this game all year.

Hopefully they can make some major adjustments in the locker room but that hasnt really been OSU's trademark. 12-15 under Tressel when losing at half time.

That sucks then b/c the D line is who is getting owned on most plays.

Well, as I said I think they are getting grabbed some, but what I've seen is lots of cutback runs and no linebackers anywhere near the LOS to stop them. That's on the LBers, IMO, not the line.

I got a feeling the Buckeyes are setting us up for the best 2nd half comeback any of us can remember. They are going to rally.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.
