That's the plan.

I want to see The Social Network as well next week, but RED just looks like too much fun to pass up seeing first.

Can't be worse than the book.

In fact, I think the movie should be pretty good. The story translates a lot better to a 90 minute movie than a 350 page book.

If I wanted to watch nerds I ask all y'all to get web cams.

Pass on the social network. All those vapid kid wanna be actors are Michael Cera to me and there is no way any of my money gets to the Rooney family in any way, shape or form. Gotta get to Money Never Sleeps and The Town in the next couple weeks.

Actually I saw Social Network at an advance screening in Kent on Thursday and it's INCREDIBLE. Sorkin's screenplay was wonderful. Quick, witty, sharp and intelligent. Fincher shot it beautifully as well. Trent Reznor's score was a perfect fit. I loved Eisenberg as Zuckerberg, he played him perfectly imo. Garfield, and surprisingly Timberlake, were very good.

This still has an early 100% on RT (with an average of 9.9/10) and Metacritic. Glowing reviews all around. Very deservedly so in my mind.

Those of you with the ill-informed, pre-conceived notions that it's about a bunch of nerds or simply "the Facebook movie" and are trashing it ahead of time or won't see it as a result of them... your loss. I, for one, am glad I saw it. Because it's SO much more than that. And it's going to do much better at the B.O. than one would expect.

OK Coz, I may have to grudgingly admit you are correct. Nerd movie is getting off the chart reviews from reputable critics.

My review of The Social Network will be written tomorrow and published sometime over the next few days.

I wanted to hate this movie.

Couldn't do it. Too damn good.

First five minutes had me hooked. No one can write dialog like Aaron Sorkin.

To the original subject...I am still totally geeked about watching Red next week. OTOH, I'll depress Donnie somewhat here by telling him I may not have the Secretariat review ready for perhaps another week. This is one of those movies that my wife is insisting on watching with me, so I since she's off to a wine festival in Virginia this weekend with my sister, we won't get to see it until sometime next week.

Just rented Red last weekend and it was good. I would recommend it, very funny and kept my interest throughout.

CDT may know Pizza but I am not trusting his movie reviews.
